Saaa!!

I have no words to say how happy I am!!

We are talking about the Karaichi or ichikara ... My jyustodo and my osochoro.

The fandom is divided into two parts hehehehe some know why.

This video does not belong to me, credits to its respective author.

Sorachi's comments on characters from Gintama-kun no ayumi(the rest)

Hakkekyuu Ou(Leukocyte King): I just wanted to have something related to Dragon Quest so he was born - 50p

Jiraia: The image in my head was of someone cool not in the traditional way; someone bizarre, someone who has thrown away his very identity and his being as a human - this kind of cool. I’m afraid he just turned into another sickhead though - 65p

Ketsuno Seimei: It’s obvious that he was based off Abeno Simei. I’m often asked why is that in Gintama most brothers are obsessed with their sisters, but if you try to exploit the character setting for a brother in manga, what is there left besides this obsession? - 70p

Gedomaru: Actually Gedomaru was the childhood name for Shuten-doji, the demon who was exorcised by Kintaro. Making her tag along with Gintoki, who was based off Kintaro, was making a dream duo come true to me - 100p

Pandemonium: I’ve been often told that Pandemonium-san was the most stunning of Gintama’s bishoujos and her reputation is flawless, and also her long eyelashes give her extra-points amongst the ladies. Pandemonium-san’s debut has changed the very nature of Gintama. She is indispensable - 100p

Doromizu Jirocho: Most of Gintama’s characters are good-for-nothings to begin with, but Jiocho-kun is an exception. He’s someone to strike to the core. Let’s cut down the old hag. Let’s also be a little shy. But since he’s badass - 80p

Chin Pirako: I wanted to draw an annoying girl untypical for Gintama. Ended up with a great daughter. Your typical ‘the bully goes good’ isn’t it - 85p

Sasaki Isaburo: Mimawarigumi was thought out as the elite snobs unit opposing the Shinsengumi, but I didn’t have an initial design so I improvised. At first Sasaki-kun was supposed to wear a silk hat and walk around with a stick, but since it was going back to the Shinsengumi concept, he became what he is now. Well, at least I cut down on banality - 85p

Imai Nobume: One time I was late with the manuscripts so I messed up her colouring making her completely white, right when she was saying something like ‘it’s not something about whites and blacks’. She covered up my mistake so graciously and transformed it into a gag - 100p

Sakata Kintoki: He was created with the sole purpose of using the title ‘Kintama’, but the poor kid was both robbed of his own golden balls and forced to take part in a freaky romantic comedy - 90p

Oboro: The Tendoshu is something hard to convey, so I made them make their appearance as an actual unit. Tenshoin Naraku. It’s easier to think of ‘them’ only as Tendoshu - 70p

Yoshida Shuyo: At the first glance he seems to be a kindhearted good fellow, but it was his pupils who’d spit out the ‘give my regards to Sensei in hell’. He was their mentor after all, so there must be something fishy about him - 70p

Obi Hajime: He’s an older brother different to Sakata-kun. I’m reluctant to admit this but all I wanted was to draw those two older brothers together for a little more - 75p

Ikeda Asaemon: I only have about three patterns of faces I draw in Gintama, but since I wanted to break the pattern for Asaemon, I modeled her after a performer. Specifically, after Goriki-san - 100p

Mutsu: Mutsu-san is comparatively popular and since Tatsuma-kun is that sort of character I thought about her not being an ordinary human way before. Still, the fact that she turned out to be a Yato was surprising even for me. I’m glad I made her wear that hat - 75p

Saito Shimaru: He would have fit in ‘Ryuu ga Gotoku Ishin’; that’s all - 30p

Sorachi's comments on arcs from the Gintama-kun no ayumi

Benizakura arc: It was even made into a movie so it’s a popular arc right now, but when it was still coming out the ratings were low because it was so long so I was eager to end it as soon as possible.

Host arc: I wanted to draw something bewitching and scandalous typical for Kabuki-cho, but the aftertaste would have sucked so at some point it become just a clusterfuck of yakuza, hosts and yorozuya. In the end it was simply a story about a mom.

Yagyuu arc: Usually long Gintama arcs become long little by little, but the Yagyuu arc was an exception; it was a well thought, carried out long arc. It’s when I first tried to make those fellows who hate each other cooperate.

Mitsuba arc: I drew it thinking that it was finally time to explain Okita’s animosity towards Hijikata, but it became much more complicated than I thought and I started getting worried that the readers would lose interest. To this day I still wonder if it would have been better to make Mitsuba and Hijikata exchange at least a couple of words at the end.

Fuyo arc: Drew it only because of seeing I, Robot.

Monkey Hunter arc: Drew it only because of being into Monster Hunter at the time.

Shinsengumi Crisis arc: Since the real Shinsengumi was constantly troubled by internal conflicts I thought it was the time to give this Shinsengumi one, too.

Ryugujo arc: I wanted to make something like Crayon Shin-chan, something to resemble stuff kids watch on their summer vacation. The jokes are for adults though.

Yoshiwara in Flames arc: The initial plan was to use Yoshiwara to tell a heart-warming story about human relationships, but since I ended up introducing Kagura’s brother I had to prolong it from the three chapters I wanted at first and in conclusion it became another long arc. But you must admit that it doesn’t happen in manga that often - having such large amounts of people trying to take down a mere old man.

Tosshi arc: Tosshi’s arc is all about Ghibli films. I had a fever of about 40 degrees and my head wasn’t functioning anymore and everything I could think about was my favourite Ghibli films, so it became what it is.

Popularity poll arc: It might sound rude to the people who have participated in the ranking, but I drew this thinking about how the characters themselves wouldn’t have been too happy with this kind of polls.

Onmyouji arc: I’ve always loved ghost stories so I forcefully tried to fit Gintama into the said context. I did some proper research before drawing it though.

Kabuki-cho Four Devas arc: I wanted to get to the leaders of Kabuki-cho. When the readers sent me questions like, ‘why are they acting so weird’ upon seeing the yakuza greeting scenes, I felt the tremenduous generation gap that is going on.

2 Years Later arc: I used the fact that I was given a break in the manga and made it into a two years break for the case. Turning everything back to normal was a pain.

Executer(glasses) arc: The theme of Hissatsu Shiokinin got stuck in my head so I was drawing the chapters listening to its soundtrack.

Scandal arc: It was right when the youth protection law passed so I thought that putting Gin-san in such a situation would be interesting. I was drawing it thinking that it will be still delightful even if it gets shut down because of the said law.

Renhou arc: At first it wasn’t supposed to be that long, I just wanted to give Elizabeth a proper backstory and be over with it but eventually I got carried by the flow and it tranformed in what it is.

Baragaki arc: I had the idea of Mimawarigumi from way before, but this arc concentrated on Hijikata and his being as a living thorny kid.

Kintama arc: During the Scandal arc as I was thinking of a possibility of Gintama violating a law and therefore getting shut down, I wondered what would I do if I had to put a sudden end to it. I thought that I’d start something of the opposite extreme, like shoujo manga, and started doodling it; on the last page I tore off the mask and started drawing Gin-san&co, brazenly transforming the thing in Gintama but with a different title. I thought it would be interesting to execute afterwards.

Courtesan of a Nation arc: It was quite difficult to express the relations going on in this arc in one sitting, but to put it simply, it’s the Tendoshu controling the bakufu vs the Hitotsubashi unit who wants to take it down, the Shogun who stays off the Tendoshu, also Tendoshu vs Hitotsubashi vs Shogun, and the way these three factions oppose each other.

Kodokan(School of Beam Saber) arc: I started this thinking that it was time toget back to Shinpachi’s dream and get it moving a little. I ended it with a gag, but Shinpachi is actually still training the homeless on his days off.

Kagura’s boyfriend arc: The reaction for Tama’s miai was so good so I thought making something similar for Kagura, too.

Cursed sword(Excalibur) arc: I wanted to give a backstory to the sword used by the blacksmith and didn’t realise when exctly it turned into a long arc.

Genderbender arc: Be it because it’s banal or overused it’s already been 10 years so I waned to try my hand on it. I want to try everything curious before this manga ends.

Idol arc: I may be speaking badly about idols a lot, but I deeply respect the professionals. I thought I should express what I think about them as a whole.

Shinigami arc: Something important. Something that needed to happen for future reference.

“hold on, i’m just coming to. evidently i’ve hurt my left hip.”

this is genuinely hilarious and i’m sad they didn’t have cameras back them cuz it would have been even more hilarious on film 😂

you can watch a video of rhett reading this story with link reacting, though. next year it will be 20 years since it happened and 10 years since the video about it! :)

20 year anniversary of link’s broken pelvis today

Anonymous asked:

If you’re still taking prompts? A pining randl about to both head to the nap loft and settling to nap together pretty please?

It’s one of those weeks where the hours blur together until it’s all a bunch of nothing. They’ve been here at least 70 hours, but Rhett couldn’t tell you a damn thing they did. He isn’t sure they’ve done anything at all, really.

But they’re on their 70th hour, and they’re both looking worse for the wear, and he can feel his exhaustion eeking out of him in bitten-off words and harsh stares. It’s time to step away, to get some sleep, and forget for a couple hours that they’re supposed to be focussing on at least two of the hundred projects they have going on right now.

Link, from somewhere in the office, (Rhett’s had his eyes closed, is spinning in slow circles in his chair) angrily says, “This is bullshit.”

And when Rhett opens his eyes, seeks him out, he realizes he’s at his desk, rubbing at his eyes. “So walk away from it for a while.”

Link shoots him eyes, and Rhett drops the subject.

Out of the corner of his eye, he catches the stairs leading to the loft, and he wonders how offended Link would be if he suggested it. He wonders how far he could push it, if he could get Link to nap with him.

That would certainly never happen, so Rhett, like always, pushes those thoughts aside. But when he catches Link making a frustrated sound, rubbing at his eyes again, he says, “Go take a nap.”

“What?”

“You heard me, man. Go take a nap. Right now.” He’s running his fingers over his keyboard, trying to think of how to answer this email, but he can’t focus when he knows Link is right behind him, the frustration rolling off of him in waves. It’s palpable, the exhaustion, and he thinks if he tries hard enough, he could run his fingers through it.

Link just looks at him, snorts, and says, “I was going t, but we don’t have time for that.”

“We do. We can make time for it. You’re useless like this. Go,” he says, shrugging his shoulders, and turning his laptop off. “I’ll go with you. Come on.”

He gets up, walks over to the stairs, and doesn’t wait for Link. It’s a test, at this point, and he’s almost positive of what the results will be.

But he’s in for a pleasant surprise when, as he’s nestling into the piles of pillows and blankets they have up here, he hears Link making his way up the stairs. He doesn’t move, doesn’t make it into a thing out of fear of messing it up somehow, when Link sinks into the bed with him.

They need this. They’ve been pushing themselves too much, too hard.

They need this.

And Rhett doesn’t bat an eye when Link curls into him, seeking comfort without asking for it. He’s here for whatever Link needs.

They need this.
