I've been making a lot of jewelry for an upcoming queer craft fair, but if you like any of these pieces, they're available now at my shop - plus tons more!
in my head when someone talks about the presedents shoe laces I can only think of Obama like I know he hasn't been in office in 6 years but I still can only imagine the stolen shoelaces coming from him idk
Hey, do y’all remember how Tencent said they were developing faceID AI to identify people in riots, and then they suddenly created an AI art generator to turn your selfies into anime?
Do y’all remember that time that someone discovered facial recognition cameras couldn't see through Juggalo makeup, then Facebook had a fun “see what you'd look like with Juggalo makeup” thing, and then facial recognition cameras could suddenly see through Juggalo makeup?
Do y’all remember how, on Twitter, Elon started a tirade against artists who ask for credit when their art is reposted, and he suddenly he created one of the first big art AI programs?
Do y’all remember how AI destroyed the field of translation, despite the inferiority of the machine translations, because people didn’t care about the quality of the translations? They just wanted it done for free?
Do you know how companies will see a lot of money going into a New Tech Thing (like, say, AI art apps) and will jump to try and implement that New Tech Thing into their tech? For example, how it felt like every big company and celebrity had an NFT to sell?
Just wondering.
This is an ai “artwork” hate blog now
like look you have this soulless thing that has anonymously and indiscriminately cannibalized years of hard-earned learning and discipline and struggle and creativity.
and you type in a little thing and it just. spits out some mashed up amalgam of other peoples inspiration, other peoples skills and dedication and livelihoods. and you sit there and smile and tag it “my art” like its not a horrible spit in the face of every artist who made that shitty little program possible. and now you think you have no NEED to pay an artist, you can just make it yourself. as if you’ve made anything??? fuck you and fuck ai “art”
Also please if you’re not on artist but see all those trends on the clock app with AI based softwares or whatever.. please don’t participate 😭 Just contributing to the use of AI is damaging artists and their hard work!
Artists are coming back to tumblr. Nature is healing.
You can do your part and plant trees (reblog art) to help nature heal.
Friends, my workplace is trying to unionize - we got over 70% of the workforce to sign union authorization cards, and yet management has refused to voluntarily recognize the union, so we will be proceeding to a vote.
Employees at NKG have worked mandatory overtime, through the pandemic, and while the company has seen sales soar through the roof in the past few years, most of us still don’t even make a living wage. We love our coworkers and our customers, and deserve to have our efforts and dedication to the company rewarded instead of being taken advantage of. We just want good, reliable jobs in the industry that we’re all passionate about.
Please, if you’re a customer, DO NOT BOYCOTT US, but show your support on social media using the hashtag #WeRollTogether and follow @NKGunited on Twitter for updates.
UPDATE: after faffing about a bit with an anti-union law firm, the company voluntarily recognized our union! So we’ll be represented by the Communication Workers of America as soon as we sign our cards!

It’s been a while, huh? Well, I just finished an ongoing project and thought I’d share - if you like Changeling: the Dreaming, this one-shot is for you!
In a sleepy suburban town in the midwestern United States, there is a very special neighborhood known as Shady Oaks. One of the local realtors, Wendy Applebaum, has made it her mission to make this neighborhood safe for Changeling children, populating it with their families and Dreamers, so that young fae will have everything they need to thrive until they choose to leave home for adventure.
…but this Halloween, they won’t have to go that far to find excitement!
This module will provide you all you need (besides the Changeling: the Dreaming 20th Anniversary core book and some dice) to run the “Halloween in Shady Oaks” one-shot, including 6 pre-generated characters, a full cast of NPCs, maps of key areas of the neighborhood, random candy tables for trick-or-treating, and more! Designed for 3-6 players aged 13+, this one-shot is perfect for introducing new/younger players to the system or giving experienced players a light-hearted yet spooky story to play around in.
Soooo... Halloween in Shady Oaks is marked as 13+, but is there anything in it you think would be especially inappropriate for a couple precocious 10 year olds? I'm considering running it for my daughter and her trick-or-treating buddy!
It should be mostly fine, I think.
There's a haunted house towards the end that has some spooky stuff, but there's no gore or explicit violence towards PCs/NPCs/animals/etc present in the text, not even a hint of sexuality or sexual violence, and all the provided descriptions of the rooms in the house are of course optional and can be altered/skipped if you want. The Main Boss in the haunted house is a Spectre of Decay (a nightmare chimera) who might be scary, but again you can change it / how it's described / what it does if you want.
I mostly marked it as 13+ because that was the categorization option I selected from the list available at the con I was originally going to run it for, and I don't have enough familiarity with kids to determine how difficult the actual mechanics might be for different age groups. But FWIW, the first half of the game (a Halloween party one of the families is hosting) has party games that give plenty of opportunities to 'teach' what different challenges are like, and provides an opportunity for the players to learn who's good at what.
In short, if you're an experienced GM familiar with Changeling and used to running stuff for kids, it shouldn't be that hard to adapt the material, I think. Just read through it before you run it so you know what's there and can decide if/how you want to adapt it.
(ETA: just FYI my estimated run time for this game is 3-6 hours, depending on how many players you have and how indulgent you are of shenanigans - it’s definitely a module that allows for fun hijinks, and when I know we have enough time, I’m def one of those GMs that encourages such things lol. And it runs best with 3-6 players - make sure you have at least one PC with Kenning &/or Gremayre, like the Sluagh, so they can puzzle out what’s going on with the house/spectre)
