Let's not dwell in Threads.
Stargate SG-1 - Behind the scenes - Season 8, disc 6 - Behind the Stargate: Secrets revealed part 2 - I have to kiss Amanda.
Always in Threads.
jfc these TAGS @mizz-magenta 😭😭😭
His “always” even though he knows that atm she’s planning to marry someone else- THIS is unconditional love, folks. Even if he can’t be the first place in her life (although who are we joking, he is) he’s still going to be there for her in whatever capacity she needs, not depending on anything she gives in return. (via @platypusisnotonfire)
OMFG HE BELATED REPLIED TO WHAT SHE WAS INTERUPTED SAYING IN HIS BACKYARD.
@carothepoet i’ve also just realised that the ‘always’ scene comes after his scene with kerry. So like she literally gave him the nudge he needed to go find Sam.
@mizz-magenta kerry is the real MVP! I wish Sam could have dated someone similar—like a genuinely decent guy who she couldn’t stay with because she loved Jack. It would have made the story so much better.
@carothepoet see, I am SO TORN over that…
1. Sam’s a beloved character so it sucks to see poor judgement, maybe more so as the actions are from a place of well intentioned wellbeing. But it does kinda fit with her previous relationships and I like that she’s a dumbass in some aspects of her life.
2. I feel like it’s important Pete had questionable characterisations that Sam purposely overlooked. So that as the wedding approached, it raised the question of how much was she willing to settle? (Sam is smart - she saw red flags in Jonas and I choose to believe she saw at least amber flags with Pete but decided the risk was minimal and worth it - maybe put it down to annoying quirks that are present in every relationship. and like she said to Jack, most people couldn’t handle the truth of her life so that’s a massive weight factor. because despite him being insensitive about it, he believed her and didn’t freak out)
3. I feel like if she had of dated someone similar to Kerry - let’s call him Kenny! - then she absolutely would have married him in the same way she married Joe Flaxon. Because he was that really nice guy (just with poor political judgement when it came to trade *ahem*)
4. Barrett seemed like a good guy but she never hit him up. She also indicated to Jack there had been other guys. So mayyybe she was subconciously self-sabotaging all along. Or she just gets caught up in the moment and throws logic out the window. (only this time she didn’t have Janet to smack sense into her)
5. Sam did date a genuinely decent guy and his name was Jack! AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AWESOME TO ACTUALLY SEE THAT.
I take it they’re not engaged in your reality? - in There But For the Grace of God.
WHY I never noticed the way she touches his face as they part?! this is so tender and heartbreaking because they both know he will not come back from this but they tried to stay professional, this is their big farewell.
I love how this Jack is shown as an harder version, colder without the warmth we know BUT here we can see he is more than that and he is in fact very much alike our Jack. He crushes the woman he loves in an incredible bear hug yet so tender. He loves her with everything he is, he smells her one more time and leaves with her warmth surrounding him.

Because they think you’re nuts in Absolute Power.
I’m going after Daniel in Evolution, Part 2.
The guy has only 2hours to pack for a dangerous unoffocial mission on earth, the life of his bff is the price for it BUT he has to stop by her lab to say almost nothing. And this is the red flag.
He has to stop just to see her maybe one last time, to take strenght in her. He couldn’t have the good luck hug he craves for so he just bathes in her loving eyes and vowes to himself he will come back to see this smile again and above all that she will come back even if he is not here to watch her back.
