So the James Webb telescope just took a picture of a galaxy that is 29 million light years away.
If that wasn't cool enough NASA decided to peel away all the cosmic dust in order to see the bones of the Galaxy itself.
AND IT'S BREATHTAKING
Such a good reminder that there are people out there who enjoy doing seemingly silly little inconsequential jobs. It’s not the job they hate, it’s being treated like undervalued shit.
Guys, q!Cellbit isn’t a sleeper agent, he was literally blackmailed. If he didn’t do all of this, his son would die. He didn’t have a choice, and it wasn’t because he had some secret urge to do Cucurucho’s bidding.
Take a step back and put yourself into his shoes and think: Would I let my son die because I want to fight back against an unknown, possibly malicious force capable of breaking invisibly into my home and killing my entire family in its sleep?
Cellbit loves puzzles. He loves solving puzzles. He loves fighting against corrupt authority figures in secret. He loves his family more. I’m not convinced that he wouldn’t willingly become an agent if it meant keeping his son and the rest of the Favela Five + his husband + Jaiden safe. He would kill for them- something that he has made clear he would never do again (unless Roier asks him to ofc) because he’s so filled with regret over his traumatic past that it drips out of him like a wet towel. Let alone die for them.
Imagine you’re a father of a son with one life remaining out of a maximum of two. An unknown force tells you to solve these puzzles, or your son will die. You can’t tell anyone, or you think your son will die. Only one other person knows, and he’s your literal husband, and you don’t tell him until the investigation is more or less over. But still, your son might die, and your husband might get himself killed following you through the investigation. So.
Cellbit had to juggle the weight of his son’s life with the weight of the investigation itself and the weight of the lives of all his friends and family, because he didn’t know if he was about to have to do another secret infiltration arc or something because he couldn’t tell them anything.
Of course he wouldn’t be questioning as many things as he normally would, he literally couldn’t. His family could’ve been killed. He was desperate, and so he was a little sloppier than he normally would’ve been, though not by much.
He was devastated when he took the elevator down into his office in the Federation catacombs. Right beneath his house. He didn’t speak the whole time, and all he really had to say afterwards was a tired and angry, “I guess I’m employee of the month…”
The Federation is under his home. Watching. Even if they tricked him this time, he knows now that they might not trick him again. Next time, it could be a direct order like what q!Fit has been getting as a fellow Federation employee. And Cellbit won’t be able to refuse then, either, because what if they kill Richarlyson this time? They threatened to do it last time, what says they wouldn’t do so again?
The Federation lost control of Cellbit months ago when he broke out of containment with q!Felps. He wasn’t their sleeper agent for the election because they literally killed him once using the capybaras, and then they tried killing him the second time and only failed because he managed to kill himself first. He’s their employee still, but they can’t get him to actually do anything for them because he broke out of the mind control using the power of his love (or whatever) for Felps. The white streak in his hair isn’t a sign, it’s because he’s emo and the cc thought, and still thinks, that it looks cool.
There’s only one way to coerce a guy like this, and it’s through literal actual threats. His son, his family, living under his house, all of it is a big sign saying ‘Remember, you still work for us’. And, whether he likes it or not, Cellbit does.
fucked up how colors look different depending on what screen you’re looking at them on. that should be illegal I think
this fucking shit, you know
I spend so much time carefully picking and adjusting the colors in every single drawing I make that I’d probably lose my mind if I didn’t just repeatedly push this out of my memory and pretend it’s not a thing. Why am I reblogging a blank empty post that doesn’t say anything??? Weird
good news! you can’t make sure that everyone will see the correct colors on their own device, but you can make sure your monitor is as accurate as possible for printing and sharing by calibrating it!
there are a bunch of free monitor tests, but here’s an easy one you can use. the passmark and eizo tests are also pretty good, though passmark doesn’t work in your browser. be warned that some tests may cause eye strain.
you can either use the settings built into your monitor itself or use the display color calibration settings in your operating system to adjust the settings until everything looks correct, and then enjoy your accurate colors.
REBLOG TO SAVE A LIFE
something something about roier and cellbit exchanging songs from their native languages something something about music being the thing that connects us all

sorry. only semi-related but i simply wasn't ready for "the sun is a distant gorilla". thank you NASA
