Do you know what I love? How closely nature is linked with mentality. A walk in the woods can calm anxiety, sitting and dropping stones into a lake can ease anger, even taking time to pot some plants and look after them can keep my mind occupied from dissociation. It’s like the earth is the oldest psychiatrist of all, and it is always there to talk to, giving me a constant free prescription. Isn’t that beautiful

once i realized i don’t need a special reason to dress up, buy myself flowers, take relaxing baths, buy something nice….. it kinda changed my life. sometimes you don’t need an excuse or specific reason to do something nice for yourself.

diet culture has ruined our mothers, our sisters, our daughters, it passes the discomfort with our own bodies as natural, it makes our hatred common, we punish ourselves by eating or not eating, by guilt and resolutions, but no one seems to care, not even those who love us.
Is your friend/partner not answering your text? Please try to remember that them hating you isn’t the only and definitely isn’t the most realistic reason why that might be.
- Maybe they got interrupted by something or someone.
- Maybe they fell asleep.
- Maybe they’re busy working or studying or otherwise doing something important that requires their full attention.
- Maybe they’re in a situation where being on your phone is considered rude.
- Maybe they’ve put their phone on silent and forgotten about it because they’re busy with something else.
- Maybe their phone died.
- Maybe they got distracted by something and forgot that they they were supposed to answer you/that they hadn’t already answered you.
- Maybe the connection is shitty/maybe there’s issues with their internet.
- Maybe they’re having a bad day and don’t have the energy for chatting right now.
- Maybe they’re focusing so intensely on a hobby/interest, a conversation, a movie/tv show, etc, that they don’t even think of checking their phone
- Maybe they just aren’t on their phone right now. There’s a million valid reasons why that might be.
Please don’t jump to the conclusion that they are willfully ignoring you because they hate you - all of the above suggestions are far more likely.
