Heartstopper • Osemanverse I know no one will probably see this, but Heartstopper has genuinely changed my life. I tend to hyper fixated and this just so happens to be my current fixation. Last month I decided to finally watch the show. I was enthralled completely by it, so much so that I watched it in one sitting. I’ve never felt so comforted by a tv show before. Just… the story is beautiful, the characters are lovely, although there were sometimes serious issues at play it was handled extremely well. The next day I went out and secretly bought the third volume of heartstopper (it was the only one available at the drugstore). I read it in one sitting and again, was completely in love with the story. By the end of the week I had read all the comics… twice. Since then I’ve watched heartstopper three times and fall in love with it more each watch through. These characters oddly feel like home to me. I don’t really have friends and I know it’s naive to think fictional characters are my friends, but I feel that way. Nick and Charlie’s story will forever have a piece of my heart. I’ve never come across a more positive, heartwarming show/comic. Also, the way mental illness is handled in the comics is so real, I relate to it very much. It makes me feel not so alone in this lonely world. I even watched pretty well every cast / behind the scenes YouTube videos I could find. The cast seems so amazingly lovely. Ugh my heart has been stopped by them. I actually just finished reading Radio Silence this afternoon and I enjoyed it. Aled was such a beautifully broken character, I haven’t cried reading a book in a long time. Now I’m about to embark on the book, Solitaire and learn more about the awesome Tori Spring, I can’t wait! If you’ve read this, wow that’s cool that you made it this far. Let me know what heartstopper means to you… 🍂
