Dick is an acrobat, which means that, compared to the rest of the bats, he's one of the lighter ones. Additionally, since he was a trapeze artist, plus his years as Robin, this means he can always, ALWAYS, stick the landing. Jason, on the other hand, is the resident tank build, which means he's the heaviest with the most strength in the arms, rivalling that of Batman himself easily. With that in mind, I present my thesis. If Nightwing is annoying Red Hood, especially in front of Commissioner Gordon, Red Hood just throws Nightwing off of the building. While on the surface it seems cold hearted of Jason, he actually knows and trusts Dicks enough to know he'll be fine, and Dick could scurry away before Jason could grab him, but chooses not to. It's a way the brothers bond. Additionally, Jason sometimes does it around the manor, but only through open windows, because Alfred doesn't appreciate needing to replace them every week.
when can we stop pretending that humans aren't animals. please soon. we are a part of the ecosystem and food chain just like any other animal. not wanting to eat meat is fine, but wanting to eat meat is also fine. humans aren't entirely separate from all other species in every concievable way, we are also a species. human is an animal. human is part of the ecosystem and food chain too
Humans have evolved to be able to think at an abstract level that includes morality and ethics. We have more choice to cause less harm than other animals (who aren't able to make that choice!) and you think because we are also animals that we shouldn't be responsible for what we do with our advantages over other animals? Right. Ok.
I don't have that choice I have no income besides government assistance (too disabled to work) and they're not gonna pay for vitamins or supplements. food is an important part of my mental health and if I didn't have many foods that require meat I would go "this sucks" and start eating meat again. you shouldn't need to know this to not try and force a diet on someone.
Animals can't choose what to eat and/or don't have their own morals? Man, guess those stories of animals caring for others in the wild or giving up food is just instinct then.
Oh wait, humans do that too. Almost like we're a specific type of animal, one that has evolved to be a social creature who thrive when working together.
Humans have evolved to need certain nutrition gained through eating meat. Technically, no, we don't have to eat it. We can supplement a vegan friendly diet with careful nutrition or vitamins.
But a dog needs meat in their diets too. Technically, they can get by on a vegetarian diet, but would you put a dog on a vegetarian diet or allow them to eat kibble derived from animal proteins? And they're social, with the ability and awareness to create packs and form bonds with other species (not just humans!).
If you can afford to go vegan or vegetarian and feel like that's how you can best leave an impact on the world, go for it! But not everyone is going to agree with you. I know where I live, it's hard for me to make sure my options are cruelty free, animal or vegan. But at least it's easier to find cruelty free meat options... when I can afford it.
OP can't afford it. And with our morals and ethics we've evolved to have, we should be able to use discernment on individual situations. Don't you think?
