 I don’t think Dean would lower the gun the whole time. Slowly backing out the door, Sam just staring at him wide eyed not knowing what to say and covering himself and Gabe with a sheet or curtain or whatever is handy, Gabriel with the biggest smirk on his face. 

sloooowly backing out with that 4th gif look on his face, gun raised.. probably bumping into the door jam and making some hilarious startled noise then closing the door with one hand while still holding the gun up.

#let’s all presume to know what sam is

Sam is fed up with Gabriel. He’s in every class, every activity, at every damn party and ALWAYS trying to talk to him. He even signed up as a TA in Sam’s biology class even though he couldn’t tell a scolex from a strobila so he could waggle his eyebrows in his direction anytime he caught Sam’s eyes.  Sam tells Gabriel to lay off, to go bother someone else, which makes him hang around even more. A challenge.. Gabriel likes a challenge

It’s not that Sam isn’t interested, it’s just that Gabriel is known for burning white hot then turning cold as steel as his attention goes onto to something or someone else. After the thing with Jess in high school, he’s not willing to set himself up for a rejection like that, not with how much he likes Gabriel, and certainly not with finals coming up. 

Gabriel’s inner monologue is a beautiful thing.
