I wanted to draw something related to Hollow Knight today and the result was that but also homestuck

we got John up first. he's the main character, so I modeled his design after the Knight. I tried to make his eyes a little square to resemble his glasses. also decided to use the god tier forms specifically.

next is Rose. I wanted to base her a little off of those aristocratic bugs that you find sometimes?

Dave has basically the same thing going on? the cape really fills out his silhouette though.

Jade's design was the hardest to decide on. I wanted her to be a moth cuz that was the only way I could think to resolve her hair so that she'd still read as herself... plus the fuzzy antenna kind of take the place of her ears in dog tier form. the face is based on those moth soldiers that wander around the earlier areas... and the dress is inspired by Hornet.
