“You belong where you’re loved.” –Cassandra Clare (Lady Midnight)
Here’s to everyone who’s still looking for their place in the world 🌼
So pretty!
“Do you think the universe fights for souls to be together? Some things are too strange and strong to be coincidences.”

Orbit
Could I love you, Sun? As you flare up tirelessly, endlessly. I revolve around you as you give me life, but I can’t even get close enough to touch. What if you burn me trying to warm me up?
Could I love you, Mercury? Your magnetic pull and retrograde relapses? Can I fit into your gaps and imperfections or would that be flying too close to the Sun?
Could I love you, Venus? Are you as beautiful as your name would claim? Entice me with the thought of chasing clouds even if it means I’ll get burned.
Could I love you, Earth? I’ve done it before. But you always leave me drowning in your infinite blue seas. Still, you are a breath of fresh air.
Could I love you, Moon? You’re so near, so touchable. You are soft and bright and I know you’ll never leave me. Can I tell you again how pretty you are amongst all the stars?
Could I ever love you, Mars? Or are you too rugged and rusted? Is there enough room in each crater for me to settle in? Is your atmosphere bearable enough for a visit?
Could I love you, Jupiter? You seem too immense to even know. One could get lost in the storm that never ceases or lost even further in all the untraveled distance. How vast would such a love be?
Could I love you, Saturn? Every ring? So light and so fast but so untouchable, so far. The only special thing about you is how quickly you float away.
Could I love you, Uranus? What a lovely pale aqua-green. So calming but so cold. Your icy exterior is too much to break through. How lonely the distance must be when you are so hard to reach.
Could I love you, Neptune? Or are you too cold? Too dark? When will I even see you when you’re so far away?
Could I love you, Pluto? Are you even there? I promise I won’t forget you like they always do. It just so happens that you are out of touch and out of mind.
— Could I love you, space? You leave me with so much unexplored depth that I don’t know what to do with it. // inspired by: @anonymous-hoper
