the things that shaped me were often filled with wonder and beauty. these things float through my memories of my childhood home and my grandparent’s backyard. they float through the textiles of my aunt’s handmade towels and the sunsets by the railroad tracks down my street. they float through the energies of my university campus and the parks with my favorite hiking trails. they float through the music that saved me from myself and gave me refuge from the world. to all the things that shaped me I am grateful. the world is better for it.
The architectural qualities of this wonderful stone staircase need no embellishment. The stairs, made of unmatched stone blocks, flare out at the bottom, creating a natural place to sit in the generous-sized hallway.
