Gonna be very disappointed if they don't give us a massive Siege of Terra campaign for the new Epic and I'll have to write one myself
What are your thoughts on Scholz's statement that Germany needs one and a half million immigrants a year?
I think it was some industry representative that said that but I doubt he would disagree.
It’s an absolutely bizarre disconnect that on one hand, Germany is bursting at the seams with over 83 million people now (and I don’t know if that census data already included Ukrainians), housing and medical services already can’t keep up with the increased demand, but on the other hand they’re still trying to tell us we have a shortage of people. We really don’t.
Over 400000 legal immigrants on top of doing basically nothing about illegal arrivals. Meloni is the biggest political fraud I’ve seen on the right in my lifetime.
Immigration is the core issue, no “based” talking points RW parties make on any other topic will matter if they don’t deliver on this.
Biden is supporting Von Der Leyen to be the new head of NATO, what do you think about this promotion?
She keeps failing upwards, lol.
Unlike some other commenters I admit that it’s a meaningless distinction because CDU and CDU are effectively one party, with the latter just being their Bavarian spin-off, but it is remarkable that if you separate them, AfD is leading the polls NATIONALLY

Even without that artificial split, 21% and second place is incredible, this is the kind of polling you’d only get in right leaning East German states a few years ago.
Absolutely whitepilled at the moment.
It also helps that the liberal-democratic FDP is on government and betraying their voters and “values” at every opportunity, so no one can cope and say “if we vote for them, they’ll act as a check on their coalition partners and support sane policy” like they did in the last elections

Immigration is the political litmus test for whether any right wing party/candidate is worth anything, and Giorgia Meloni failed it spectacularly. Never, ever lose sight of this issue or you’ll eventually lose on everything else.
My unfounded theory regarding Elon Musk essentially shutting down Twitter for normal users is that he got a call from Macron or from Brussels to end the spread of media from the ongoing race riots in France or face astronomical fines
Google search deliberately made useless to prevent you from finding wrongthink results, youtube search crippled for the same reason so you find a few random results before you get mainstream garbage. Everything is censored to hell and back and Elon just decided to make Twitter non-functional for non paying users by limiting how many tweets you can view per day
The imageboards and this hellsite are like the only remaining relics of the internet as it used to be, if that goes I might just need to get a life
Didn’t list Reddit here because I’ve never posted there but they’ve also made it abundantly clear that their site is meant to be just another corporate revenue farm rather than a place where people can do things they like. Tiktok is just about melting young zoomer brains by design and web3 was never anything but scammers scamming scammers.
Probably wishful thinking on my part, but I hope maybe there will be a sort of “platform fatigue” at some point where at least a subset of people start creating bulletin boards and standalone hobby blogs again

What do you think about the riots in France?
When it comes to France, I’ve stopped caring and written them off politically after the last elections. No matter how much worse it gets, it’s clear that they will continue voting for the forces that create outcomes like this and continue their dispossession.

Do vegans count fish as meat? Also I heard AfD won an election somewhere, I guess now we'll finally see what they're made of and/or how effective the other levels of government are at preventing them from doing the job they were elected for.
I think they’re more about animal products overall lol
Yea they did win a run-off election for a mid-tier state level office the other day. Not the kind of office that can single handedly turn things around, but they can still do some good there and throw a wrench into the gears of destructive establishment policy.
The political victory is huge, though, because it’s the first win of this kind and the AfD candidate won against a candidate supported by all other parties in a run-off. Much of the East has state elections next year, where the AfD might come in first. Attempts to deny the right any political participation are bound to backfire, and the more all establishment parties get behind the same candidates or enter absurd coalitions to win, the more they show even to the last voter that any vote except AfD is a vote for the exact same outcomes
