I love what I see

✍ Eye of Horus

So last night I had an interesting dream. I went in a general store with my ex boyfriend. I seemed uninterested in him. He said he had to go to the bathroom and walked away. I was more fascinated what was in the store.

So I walked towards the right and there was these spice bottles. Salt, and black pepper and a whole bunch of spices. Now it wasn’t made by a company I knew about but it had the Eye of Horus on it. I just looked confused in the dream when I saw it.

I then moved towards the cash register and on the wall there was a bunch of different signs. One of them was the Eye of Horus again. I looked incredibly confused once more because I felt like the sign was following me everywhere I was going throughout the store.

So I moved down one of the aisles and my ex comes out, but I seem disinterested in him because my eyes landed on a set of stationary sets. One of them had the Eye of Horus again. So throughout the dream my ex was trying to talk to me and I couldn’t give him a second of my time. My focus was 100% on this icon, this symbol.

I woke up from that dream immediately and I started to research what the Eye of Horus means. Apparently if I saw this in my dream it means something is looking out for me. But I felt like something is watching over me but I didn’t feel like that was the reason that I saw the symbol. So I looked further into the symbol meanings and it actually means healing. The eye also means restoration and for a long time I had felt incredibly lost. Lately, I don’t feel as lost anymore and I think that’s what the eye represents as well.

So to me the dream was telling me that I have already begun my healing process from my ex. I thought that was a very good sign because I wanted to heal from this very toxic relationship I had for three years. So, it’s good to know that I’m starting to feel better, that I’m actually healing, being restored to who I was.

I also noticed that from the position I was looking at the Eye of Horus it looked to be the left eye. Now I know nothing about Egyptian mythology, so naturally I looked it up. Horus’s left eye was actually torn by his brother, Seth, and was healed by Thoth. So I thought this analogy was interesting because for a long time I felt like something was torn from me and now I feel like I’m slowly gaining it back. Like it’s being restored.

So, I’m actually happy this dream happened because I wondered if I would ever be restored or healed and this dream showed me that I was.
