I haven’t kept up w/ Ranma fanfiction lately! (though I do have my own Ranma x Akane story in mind...someday I’d like to find time and motivation to write & publish it on ao3!)

@pursemongerstuff I personally would love to read canonverse stories, with aged-up characters!
@ranma-ranma It’s actually really hard to find canonverse stories where they are older but I think stories bucketed in continuations would qualify. Just note that these aren’t new stories but my favorites. I hate to say it but the new stuff in the fandom isn’t very exciting.
Continuations:
Crimson by Ilett - In this one they are older and Akane is in college. A look at them resolving their relationship.
Hippocrates by thwarth - Another unfinished work but I really enjoyed the progression between Ranma and Akane. He also manages to get so much humor in this.
Rekindling a Flame by Skywatch - This is a rough one. It’s such a good story but they spend much of it miserable. Still a very good story.
One shots:
Possibly Maybe by Czechers - Get ready to laugh and cry. It’s a collection of one shots that is amazingly well done.
So This is Summer by Amethyst Amber - Short and sweet, nothing but WAFF and a little naughtiness
Culinary Trials by Archaon - A fun look at what happens when Akane tries to cook.
The Smile by Kirinin - Fun look at Akane’s super power
AUs:
Meeting Later by O'Donoghue - Great look at what would happen if Akane and Ranma met after the series. Unfortunately unfinished.
Speed Onis by Bloodsong - Sometimes a story just feels so right when you read it, this is one of those and I can never pinpoint the reasons, I just know I really like it. This is also unfinished.
Cross-Overs:
Looking for Trouble Series by Jeremy Harper - Batman/Ranma crossover. I just love the premise of the series and yes, I do write some side stories for it so I might be biased, but it still makes my list. What can I say? Jeremy is a cool dude.

I highly recommend Possibly Maybe by Czechers. It’s a roller coaster of emotions. As Lilytimbers mentioned I write a little for the fandom and have a collection of one shots myself called Box of Chocolates if you want to give it a try. If you do, please leave a review, I love reading people’s thoughts of my story.
The Memory of Silver and Sapphires by Jeremy Harper is very sweet.
This is where you leave me by Lunar Ember is slightly heartbreaking.
Shampoo’s Good Plan Gone Bad was pretty good.
The Tomboy Solution is a cute take on how Ranma deals with Akane.
Just a Little Tenderness always makes me smile.
There are so many really good ones. It’s hard to pinpoint.
As for continuations, I did write Tomboy no More if you want to give it a shot.
Fighting Chance by MZephyr is great.
No More Pussyfooting Around is very popular in the fandom.
@ranma-ranma I forgot in my original post but Hearts of Diamonds is kind of a continuation that I just adore. They are older and have been separated and run into each other again. Plus jealous Ranma? I am here for it.
Of Loss, Life, & Love by Luna 12 is pretty good.
I highly suggest you start reading one or all of the stories and then click on the author’s whose writing style, characterizations, and/or ideas grab you and start reading their other works. Also, they have favorite authors and stories they like which can lead you to more stories.
If you are just starting to read fan-fiction I have to tell you that I am so jealous. There is a treasure trove to discover.
