thank you so much for your kind words anon! they completely lifted my spirits! i hope i don’t have to deal with much more of it during pride month bc this is a month for me to openly be proud of who i am. i am completely aware of the fact that lesbians, gay men and bi men and women were also there and also fought for us but people have a habit of excluding trans women and this month it’s important to remember everyone who fought for us and carved the path for us to gain rights.
i hope all of you have a wonderful pride! if any of you need help or advice during this month or any other time, im here for you, I stand by you and support you!

i’ve deleted all of the ace discourse asks from the blog bc this blog isn’t for discourse and honestly? ace discourse should have stayed it 2010 if we’re being completely honest. y’all know my stance on it and if the fact that i think cishets don’t belong in the lgbt community (a community that was created because we suffer at the hands of cishets and it was a community where we could be around people that have been through the same things we have and where we could be open about who we are and a place where we could fight for our right (u know the rights that cishets denied us)) bother you, unfollow and block me, i don’t care, this is a safe space for all mlm and nblm, that is a fact that i will stand by forever.

yeah this! although… I remember seeing a post saying that we (mlm) should avoid Ancient Greek terms in general (ie achillean) since, while the ancient Greeks were indeed Gay™, the men of the time were highly misogynistic (among other things) & that’s not something we want to associate with
then again, you can argue that Sappho herself wasn’t perfect (I remember hearing she wrote poems encouraging relationships between adults and children/young teens? but I’m not sure). but the fact it’s ancient history so there’s fewer sources & it’s harder to tell the intentions or context of her work
