furby tech issue question!

I have 1998 sheep baby who's sensors all work, except seemingly the one recognizing when they're upside down

I accidentally started them in a game of Baby Says and it took a solid 8 or 9 flips upside down (and even then on the last one I had to hold them upsude down and actively shake them a bit) before they finally recognized they were indeed upside down + gave the "baby all done!" response, which I haven't encountered with another furby before

I'm in the process of taking the batteries outta my lil guys (to make sure none explode / corrupt which..... unfortunately a few have already ; ;) so it's not as much of a concern at the moment, but for general knowledge:

Is there a way to repair that sensor if it ever did fully go out? or is it similar to voice box / etc. issues that are just kinda deemed beyond repair / other aid?
