most people are in agreement that wildlife conservation and responsible pet ownership are important, yes? so why is that all logic goes out the window with outdoor cats?
people are 100% responsible for all the needless suffering and death that their outdoor cat inflicts onto the local wildlife.
and what's simultaneously true, people are 100% responsible for all the disease, dangers and deadly encounters they subject their domestic cat to by allowing it to roam unsupervised.
keeping your pet safe from harm's way is the absolute bare minimum when it comes to pet care and you can't possibly keep your pet safe from harm if you don't even know where it is or if/when it'll return.
the fact that domestic cats are an invasive species is due to human negligence. we're more than capable of taking better care of cats and inherently wildlife but for some reason, wanting better is met with such open hostility...
cats deserve to be treated better, they aren't disposable and that shouldn't be up for debate.
the ai end-user belief of "it's just entertainment for me, i'm not hurting anyone" well, you don't have to have malicious intent to cause harm. disregarding the negative impacts in favour of instant generated satisfaction has been causing harm to others and the environment all along. ignorance is harmful.
resin practice (not bad but, not too good yet either)
