Avery Jackson did a non-medical transition at the age of four. At the time, they felt more comfortable as a girl. As they grew up and their understanding of gender evolved, they decided nonbinary transgender suited them better.

And now that they are 15, their family is moving out of Missouri because they fear the recent draconian anti-trans laws.

"No longer identifies as a girl" does not mean they identify as a boy. They are still trans. They knew from the age of 4 that being a boy was not right for them.

I don't think they changed their mind. I think they just found a better understanding of who they were.

These bigots know nothing about trans people yet think they are qualified to criticize them.

Happy pride month and if I see anyone say 'intersex people don't want to be included in the lgbtq community' I'm biting. 'Some intersex people don't want to be included' that is their choice and that is fine but a lot of us do. A lot of people try to separate themselves from the community (see: terfs) but we don't say 'lesbians or gay ppl or bi ppl don't want to be part of the community' because that would be ridiculous. Intersex people are lgbtq, we are part of the community, and we are stronger together

I desperately need people to understand that you do not need an "intersex condition" to be intersex. If your body has intersex traits which occured without any external influences, that is intersex.

You all do realize that what qualifies as an "intersex condition" and what doesn't is made up and flexible, right? There are so many different conditions out there that, in my opinion, should absolutely count as intersex but many people think they do not. There are many conditions out there which cause intersex traits but are not often talked about as intersex conditions - Because, guess what, every system in the body is connected and many different conditions will cause hormonal symptoms, not just ones we have dubbed "intersex conditions".

If you have an intersex body, you have an intersex body. You don't even need a diagnosis or a known cause - Your body is intersex. So many of you get so caught up on narrowing things down and specifying things into little boxes and it makes talking about this very frustrating.

If you have intersex symptoms that were not caused by external influences, you can call yourself intersex. Your body is outside the typical male/female binary. That is intersex.

Such a good reminder that there are people out there who enjoy doing seemingly silly little inconsequential jobs. It’s not the job they hate, it’s being treated like undervalued shit.
