don't mind me

@rodentinfestedbroccolipatch

just another lesbian yearning and appreciating aesthetic little pics of plants

shakespeare characters that are gay and how i know

(based only on plays that i have actually read which is not that many)

mercrutio (romeo and juliet): arguing with me on this one would be complete disrespect of harold perrineau’s ICONIC portrayal of the character, when he said “dreamers often lie” that was him calling our romeo’s stupid het antics.

benvolio (romeo and juliet): in love with mercrutio. the sensible homo that every friend group needs but few have.

hal/harry/henry V (henry IV p.1): lowkey found family trope (falstaff), hates his dad, in his rebellious teen phase

marc antony (julius caesar): literally started a war bc his “bro” got killed, bisexual disaster, historically known to be a slut AND carries the inherit slut energy that every one of shakespeare’s male characters possess.

hamlet (hamlet): need i explain? that one scene where he said “do you play the fiddle? no? that’s funny because you thought you could play me” holds enough gay energy to power a light bulb, bury your gays trope.

horatio (hamlet): hamlet dying in his arms…. tragic gay, so completely devoted to hamlet even though hamlet sorta sucks….. pretty gay of him.

laertes (hamlet): the fact that he is a character in Hamlet really says it all. idk just seems like he’s bi to me.

ophelia (hamlet): loves flowers and nature? that’s a lesbian, babes.

feel free to add more.

Puck, Robin Goodfellow, however you wanna call him (A midsummer night's dream): Literally just a twink serving the fairy king (who is also bi af). I mean, I was surprised he wasn't accused of having an affair with him all along.

Titania (A midsummer night's dream): Literally wants to adopt a changeling boy because she used to sit at the beach late at night with his mom. Literally surrounded by her fairy gang 24/7
