will never forget my whiterose roots. they truly invented rivals to besties to lovers. you can’t tell me weiss “shut up don’t touch me!” schnee and ruby “we won’t leave your side for a second! i promise” rose aren’t in love. nobody’s doing it like them

"It's a delicious ship."

"The Weiss Schnee x Ruby Rose ship; is nothing short of a delicacy to me."

From Miles Luna HIMSELF!!!!

GUYS!!! WHITEROSE IS TRENDING ON TWITTER! (Yes I'm still calling it that)

RISE UP WHITEROSE NATION!!!! KEEP IT GOING!!

❄️🥀🤍❤️

gwen stacy's character is just so...ugh. I don't think I can ever trust anyone who got mad at her for not imediately siding with miles.

cause here's the thing: gwen stacy is a sixteen year old. a sixteen year old who watched her best friend (only friend) die in front of her, and then, her only family member betray her. at the beggining of atsv, there's literally no one by her side, and she wants so desperately to be seen by someone again.

she wants miguel, jess and the spider society to accept and value her, something her own universe seemed incapable of doing. she's so desperate to prove her worth to them, and she just... can't seem to do it right.

so she leaves miles behind to achieve that, but she fails to realise that he sees her, he already values her and understands her in a way no one has ever done since peter parker. (peter, who understood her so intrinsically that he knew it was her under that mask all along!! her peter!!)

gwen's story is that of a lonely teenager realising she doesn't have to be alone, that she doesn't exist as a puppet and that she wasn't made just to suffer through canon events in order to save everyone else at her own cost. she can forge her own path, and so can everyone else.

that's why her reunion with her dad was so meaningful— not only because it shows that nobody is bound by fate, but because he chooses her!! he sees her, and he decides he loves her more than his duty, and thats what being spiderman is. it isnt about being bitten by a spider and following the multiverse's rules, its about fighting for who you love. and, because of that, anyone can be spiderman.

literally same. such great thoughts, op!! I did not ever have a single moment that I was upset with her. homegirl is doing her best and is really going through it. also she’s literally trying to save the multiverse with the Spider Society. it’s when they start hurting people that she loves in the pursuit of the “greater good” that she’s done. I love her so so much

Remember when Midnight came out and a lot of people said they didn't feel bad for Cinder and her backstory because she was a bad person and she deserved it? Y'all it's okay to hate her now and all but she was ten and a slave and tortured every day. If you think a 10yo deserved that then I think you need to reconsider. Also, you're missing the point: Cinder always saw the worst of humanity. The one person who was kind to her immediately turned against her, deciding she was a villain for [checks] snapping and defending herself after years of abuse he never did anything about except giving her training and a sword (what was he expecting, honestly). And then Salem found her, and she found herself stuck with another abuser, a much smarter and manipulative one.

The whole point of Cinder's backstory isn't to justify her current actions. It's to make us see that if someone—someone else, not Rhodes—had found her, someone who, again, has only seen the worst of humanity, and given her the help and kindness she really needed— Cinder wouldn't have turned out like she did. It's obvious and yet people still don't get it.

Ren and Nora, Pyrrha and Jaune, Blake and Yang. All these pairings are partners who went on to be will be, or would have been in a relationship. The only one missing is Weiss and Ruby. It would be a crime to not do it.

I don't get RG at all. They punch each other, he goes for a hug she ignores, and the only awkward moments they have are her trying to figure out how to relate to the kid because her headmaster is in there.

I grant Oscar might have a crush on her, but Oscar is about to be subsumed and it's a younger kid having a crush on a cool older kid who's hanging out with him.

Most of Jaune and Weiss's interactions are her being annoyed by him. Is the lesson here just ask and never stop and she'll eventually say yes?

This is Kara having an emergency interview after the mature comment dropped. Kara very noted WK superfan had to explain that Weiss is attracted to maturity and not Jaune specifically.

Now think back to WR and how they always seem to get along best when Ruby is being more mature.

Now think about how Ruby just got done ascending and is likely to be more confident and mature in herself.

The only person allowed to initiate affection physically to Weiss is Ruby and to a lesser extent her team. If Ruby comes to hug or guide Weiss away this is allowed. No one else can do these things because they know Weiss doesn't like it.

Ruby literally moves Jaunes hands when he's healing Weiss because she knows Weiss does not like to be touched. There is literally no one else as cognizant of her needs including Weiss herself.

I don't know or like how if Ruby was a man people would just assume it was canon but because she's not somehow there's just 'not enough romance between them'.

Just because BB is a very in your face ship does not negate other kinds of relationships.

WR will never be or act like BB in the relationship department. They're different people with different personalities.

BB are big larger than life pow I rented a plane to spell your name in the sky whereas WR are more I made you coffee and recorded your favorite show while I got that disgusting take out I pretend to hate cause I know you had a bad day.

Ruby jumps on missiles and yet has to hold onto Weiss. Ruby guiding Weiss away from the teapot knowing instantly what was wrong. Weiss giving Ruby coffee. Promising to be there for Weiss in Atlas.

Here's the thing. Weiss shows affection through actions. Weiss has very much shown time and again why her partner is the first one she goes to. They think about each other when separated.

It's not the soul crushing dramatic I NEED HER HERE FOR ME! of BB but an affirmation that the person who can make things better for me is my partner and I want to be back with them.

Or do other people hear the word Schnee and then stare longingly at the sky and think of their friends in a totally not gay way?

Almost every single piece of spin-off material for RWBY is WR coded. The movie,

the anthologies,

Ice Queendom like god that whole thing where Ruby is her precious?

And yet I'm supposed to just be like clearly Rosegarden or Whiteknight are end game? Is this a bad joke?

RWBY is all about symbolism. I don't see Weiss's or Ruby's flowers breaking ranks to be near Jaune or Oscar and yet I'm supposed to think they're end game material?

(D)WR for life.
