Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest, on Navajo land east of Lechee, Arizona.
Antelope Canyon is protected by the Navajo Parks and Recreation and only authorized tour companies can take visitors to the canyon. Safety and preventing vandalism are the main reasons why everyone needs a guided tour; the canyon became unavailable to the public in 1997.
Vermilion Cliffs National Monument is located in northern Coconino County, Arizona, United States, immediately south of the Utah state line. This national monument, 293,689 acres in area, protects the Paria Plateau, Vermilion Cliffs, Coyote Buttes, and Paria Canyon.

If you are going here, just know that it’s a small hike to get to Horseshoe Bend once you park. there are no safety rails or anything like that, so to get a photo like this you are really standing on the very edge of the cliff.
I took some good photos without standing so close to the edge. With my luck I would have slipped, tumbled down the edge and, well I wouldn’t be writing this today. I loved AZ. It’s such a beautiful state
