@waitingforthesunrise I don't know if this is strange to say but you seem to really like the characters drawn with their heads at this angle. Looks past you, into the distance. Standing half facing you, half beside you. Like a conversation. Not awkward small talk. But the way you gaze down into the grass, at the trees, the sky, the horizon, when you're having a meaningful discussion. Not the shallow "how was your day's" but more the "I don't fear the dark, more the light's" or the "storms bring peace, I wonder why that is? Is it the fact that we watch them from safety? Is that almost a sort of taunt?'s."

So every time I see this... I think of you... And it's just a stupid little thing but still.... the magpie roves.

And the drawing is amazing. I am awed at how your friend managed to capture his face in the light. I can imagine his silhouette, standing in front of the sun while it sets. The expression is so well made. The softness of the moment, but a spark of fire that could light at any moment? How even the strongest of people have a beating heart within, and it's these moments in the firelight where you find the true colors of a person?

It's been a while since I sat by the fire with someone, and really spoke to them.
