I have a headcanon that they both knew each other before, even before Kaidou's encounter with Mineo Nobuaki (Alphonse Calcifer Raiden )

They just were so physically and emotionally different before so that the moment Kuboyasu transferred to the PK academy neither of them recognized each other.

I also wanted to portray the contrast between the past and the present of them both.

(I just feel like Kuboyasu has committed full loyalty towards Kaidou ever since Kaidou told him to run, idc)

(which is fun how even though Aren is the strongest one, physically and mentally between them both, he still is all loyal for Shun, even if he is the weakest one)

You don't have to draw it exactly like mines but keep the basic idea and the wings/halo. Make it as cringe as you want to add glitch effects. Add more chains. Add censor bar over the eyes!! Extra stuff like that is cool. He's an a gigantic emo loser!!
