@reyavie

I dreamt I could fly

“if you take medication for that, you’ll be taking medication all your life!!” yeah, and?? bud, i already put on my glasses every morning. it’s like. a condition of mine, not a side hobby i’m pursuing irresponsibly.

and the thrilling sequel: “taking meds for that is the easy way out!” right you are my dude, i’m a huge fan of not making things harder than they have to be

List of responses to “don’t you fucking dare die on me— stay with me, you fucking asshole—”

(tw: death)

  1. “I love you. Now say it back.” “Please— stop talking, save it till we get you help—” “Say it back—“ “I love you. I love you, I love you, I love you so fucking much, please don’t leave me—”
  2. “Hey, at least I loved you till my very last breath, right? Like I had promised.”
  3. “Y-you know… If there’s any place I know I’d rest easy, it would— it would be in your arms, where I’ve always… Always belonged.”
  4. “I’m sorry I couldn’t go to the very end with you.”
  5. “Funny how I said I’d drag you to hell with me yet I’m going to hell way earlier than you are.” “You— you idiot, this isn’t the time just... Just shut up and stay with me, damn it—
  6. “Just know you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
  7. “Saying this before it’s too late… I’m grateful for you.”
  8. “Kiss me one last time?” “No— no, this isn’t— it won’t be the last time—” “Just shut up and kiss me.”
  9. “Ha… I told you you’d outlive me.”
  10. “I’m sorry…”
  11. “Don’t miss me too much, okay?”
  12. “I like it better when you’re smiling, sunshine. Smile for me, please? Just so I can… Just so I can see it one last time.”

"Legend tells of a peerless samurai who, at the behest of a king, ventured forth to drive a host of oni into the sea. Yet for all his strength, Tenzen could not do this alone, and so he turned to the Four Lords─greatest of the auspices─for assistance. Together they succeeded, and afterwards journeyed west, far from the realms of men, to live out their days in solitude. A faerie tale, perhaps…but often in such tales a kernel of truth can be found."

Hello Mr Gaiman, I have a question -

What does one do when one has written something that is of very poor quality, even though they know they can do better? Should they be ashamed for having written something terrible, or proud that they were able to write something at all?

The latter. Bad things can always be improved. Or perhaps they were just the things that needed to be written to allow the good stuff to come out.
