I don’t know how to explain this to you but both all four states are really high in racial diversity. Like there’s some very deep blue areas in NY and CA. And reactionary red areas too. And as far as I can tell Florida and Texas are border states with lots of latines. Like CA alone has 10% of the USA population. It’s more complex than this
As a blue voting floridian I am REALLY SICK of this sweeping generalization of my state as one of ‘the worst’ as it carries some sort of idea that every state doesn’t have pockets of racism or oppression or anything else. Stop looking down on people who are in these awful places and start being MORE specific about the issues we are not only facing but fighting against, ESPECIALLY when so many of these issues are so directly tied to white infrastructure and/or effects of issues ‘gifted’ to us thanks to white antics.
This is how white people try to have ideas that they better than the white people we stuck with. They just pretend we don’t exist, don’t think about the shit we go through surrounded by the people they’re talking about, but they wanna do it without specifically calling the white people out for their shit.
