Please go watch Sex Explained on Netflix. Not only is it a great resource for the basic sex education that is sorely lacking in the U.S., but some of ya’ll need to take a deep breath and remember the difference between fantasy vs reality. This purity culture thing that we’re going through right now is directly harmful to responsible, healthy sexual expression. BTW this woman, Lisa Diamond, is a noted psychologist and has been pushing for greater understanding of womens sexuality as a whole.

wanna know how adhd fucks me sometimes? two years ago I met this guy that I hadn't seen in years. I was thrilled to see him again and I hyperfixated on him as he was exactly the kind of novelty my brain constantly looks for. I didn't know I had adhd and I thought I liked him, he liked me back and we went out a couple of times. after like ten days he became part of a routine, the hyperfixation worn off and I started avoiding him because I didn't know how to explain that I had stopped feeling anything about him. i broke his heart and he kind of told all of the friends we had in common I was a bitch. to this day it's still hard to understand when I'm just hyperfixating and I'm fucking scared that I will eventually hurt everyone I get close to and myself.

so yeah, treat your friends with adhd good, cause there's so much more going on other than "SQUIRREL"

A List of Movies For Bi Women

  • Foxfire (the 90’s version w/ Angelina Jolie- trust me, Angelina Jolie is a babe always, but this movie gave me a whole new appreciation for her)
  • Jennifer’s Body (this movie gets shit on, and I don’t understand it!! Great example of how women are pitted against each other in our patriarchal society, and we also get Megan Fox serving some bi representation- however good that representation was is up for interpretation)
  • Girl, Interrupted (another Angelina Jolie movie, but the bi vibes just raaaadiate off the leads)
  • Chasing Amy (okay, this might be a little controversial, because the female lead is a self described lesbian, but if you watch this one, you’ll hopefully get what I mean. Some of its content is a liiiittle dated and ngl, a tad problematic, but hey, watch at your own risk I guess)
  • Frida (it’s just awesome that they made a movie about a famous bisexual person, and actually portrayed them to be bisexual)

Feel free to add more!

when sarah paulson said “i had a complicated home life, and my teachers were very dedicated to taking care of me in a particular way. and in doing so, i think i developed a very easy rapport with people older than myself”, i felt that deep in my soul

Anonymous asked:

could you please explain how the safeword traffic system works?? i really cant wrap my head around it

Sure.

Red means stop. No more negotiation, something has crossed a line (too painful, something bad that wasn’t negotiated, etc.)

Yellow means that you need a break or that something is too much, or that if the top continues then you’re going to “red” soon.

Green means that things are going well and you want to continue if not ramp it up a little.

While a bottom might blurt out red or yellow, I’ve never seen a bottom volunteer “green”. It’s usually said in answer to when a top is checking in to make sure everything is okay. Asking “How are you?” and getting an answer of “fine” or “okay” might mean the bottom is just on autopilot and reflexively answering. Asking “What’s your color?” and getting “green” or “I was very close to yellow when you stopped” is much better.

One of my favorite doms to watch at parties was doing a pre-scene negotiation with someone he hadn’t played with before and said something like “Now, just between you and me here ;-) , my favorite color is yellow. It’s not about taking anything I can dish out. I promise you, I can always go harder. I want to know how you’re doing. I’ll likely yellow you, on purpose, a few times, just to find out where your limits are and then aim for a little below that. I don’t want to hear ‘green green green, green green red’ because then the scene’s over. I want some indication of how you’re doing and when you’re getting close to what you can handle, okay?”

And then, whenever she yellowed, he praised her. And why wouldn’t he?? She gave him vital information that allowed the both of them to have more fun!
