my dad hunts (as part of a wildlife management group that also donates meat to people in need, disclaimer) with a crossbow and a few rifles he received from his father. when i admitted to my self harm and began treatment for depression, he suddenly realized how lax gun laws are and thinks a lot about how they could be improved. he does his best! he got a gun safe within days!

but today, walmart left a package on our porch with a gun in it. no signature, no warning, they just dropped it off because he bought it online, i guess. lucky me, home alone and curious because i love boxes, got to open it and see how terrible walmart is! 

i’m eleven months clean, so it’s not a threat, per se, but @walmartfamilymobile what if you delivered to the wrong house? what if i wasnt safe and clean like i am today? what if my destructive tendencies manifested towards other people instead of myself? all i would need is a few bullets, and whose fault is that if you delivered the murder weapon? 

The whole house clapped…
