Generally, specialized tools are cheaper, and a scale that can accurately tell you 3.56 vs 3.57 pounds will break if you try to make it weigh 265.56 pounds accurately on the reg.

Murraus doesnt generally sell that much cheese at once. Probably for that reason. But the half wheel still needs a sticker- it's common practice. The cheese name, item code, and date is on there. So what do we do? Weigh something random, then scratch the barcode and price with a sharpie.

One small mistake, on the part of the monger and whatever cashier was ok with this transaction, led to a $400 loss. I blame inadequate training.
