what I like about ellie’s deadite eyes is that, whereas bridget has the 2013 gold-ish eyes and danny has the og trilogy’s clear eyes and neither of them really have any remnants of what their eye colour as a human was, ellie’s have hints of blue in them in the iris and her human eyes were blue. it’s like another way of the demon clinging on to remnants of ellie as it terrorises her family.

another fucked up (and really cool) thing about the evil dead rise deadites that I’ve deffo seen someone else mention is the way that bridget particularly is kind of infantised by hers.

in the “I gotta kill the creepy crawlies I got inside my tummy!” part, she’s kind of speaking in a manner that’s closer to a kid of kassie’s age as opposed to a teenager. it’s deffo in my mind the deadite emphasising that bridget was a kid to make the whole thing extra messed up for beth.

I think that picture on Ellie’s car keys that we see towards the end of the film was a really short time after Jay left.

Ellie was in a lot of pain at the time but she was in more pain that her babies were sad, so she wanted to do something to try and cheer them up. And Kassie had been begging to go to Disneyland for a while by that point, so Ellie took them all there.

They all had a great time and she got to hear her kiddos laugh and see them smiling 💔

it’s been a bit of a rough time at work recently and imagining ellie there comforting me after and giving me cuddles (and face licks and clawed hair strokes if she’s in her deadite form, she can have her soft moments as a deadite if I want her to) has helped me so much. comfort characters are so important ❤️
