I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported my art this past year! I've decided to take a break from accepting orders for Redemption's Palette and really focus on art as therapy and not as a source of income. It was a tough decision and I know it's only for a season but I'll definitely miss creating pieces for people literally around the globe. You all rock. all men who go to strip clubs are supporting human trafficking. all men who go to brothels are supporting human trafficking. all men who buy sex are supporting human trafficking. all men who watch porn are supporting human trafficking. it does not matter if they say they are against human trafficking, when it is their money funding it, when they are the ones creating the demand, without them sex trafficking would not exist. all men who support trafficking in any way shape or form need to be held responsible for their violent misogyny that is getting millions of women raped, enslaved and killed.
Ok but what about the women who voluntarily do sex work? Human trafficking and Sex Work are two different things, stop lumping them together.
human trafficking and “sex work” are not two different things, almost always they are the same, and sex trafficking would not even exist without the sex industry, and the sex industry cannot exist without sex trafficking. almost all women in the sex industry are there because they have no other options, whether due to force by another person, or economic force. It is so disgusting and absolutely vile to say that the right of a very few (and i mean VERY few, not even 5%) women who enjoy being in the industry and make lots of money, but have tons of other options to make good money, who are in it for fun and empowerment or whatever, should trump the rights of the overwhelming majority of women who are suffering and being tortured and raped. The right of one woman to have fun and make a profit should not come at the expense of a million women being raped. An industry that’s very existence means women must be raped, abused, coerced, poor, etc, is indefensible, a few women who enjoy being in the industry does not change that in the slightest.
the average age of entry into prostitution for girls in America is 13 years old, per the US DOJ.
if you are under 18 and involved in commercial sex work, you are considered a victim of human trafficking.
thus, the average prostitute is/was a trafficking victim.
I agree with everything in this post except for one thing: women watch porn too. Women attend strip clubs too. Women "buy sex" too. This isn't a man vs. woman war, it's spirit vs. flesh.
