I feel like I should fact check this just in case…

It’s absolutely correct. The one on the left is St. Peter’s Cross. The one on the right is the Satanic Cross.

THANK YOU

Why does the satanic cross look like a roller coaster loopty loop?

The ride to hell is a twirly one

Look, Satan; no hands!

Putting the ‘fun’ in Internal Damnation.

Wait isnt it Eternal damnation?

Oh my god

No God, just Satan

Also the inverted cross (on the left) was worn by Vikings to show that were converted into Christianity, so it is in fact a Christian symbol.

The ride to hell actually seems quite fun

Why is the ride to hell an infinity sign? Are some rides to hell bigger than other rides to hell?

I finished reading “The fault in our stars” today .

It’s about Hazel Grace,a thirty third half year girl , that’s suffering from lung cancer . Her mom wants her to go to the supporting group , where sick teenagers (just as hazel) sit around in Jesus heart (in church) and discuss things. She hates going there , but is unfortunately forced by her mom to go there. Her mom wants her to make friends . One day , Augustus Waters, a one legged boy , around Hazel’s age visits the supporting group & the love story between them starts.

Personally I didn’t fall in love with the book like many people did - but I DONT dislike it either . It’s hard to explain why . The book is kind of too teenagy for me . I crave a different kind of buzz . And I had a friend that died in cancer . I know how sick people really are - soo I felt that the writer made something so serious a bit too unrealistic - but I mean how beautiful isn’t the story ? Finally a book that shows that sick people are beautiful on their own way . Sick people have feelings . Sick people can fall in love , Sick people can be inspiration for us all - and sick people are fighters - because of the fault in their stars . They never choose to live with physical pain their entire life and mental pain about that death is near- I can now tick off one book from my reading list .

I’d have to say I disagree with you about John Green portraying cancer I realistically- in fact it’s more realistic then any book involving cancer I’ve ever read. But I’m glad you liked it

I know a lot of people we’re going to disagree with me about my views on the book - because it was so different than anyone else’s . And I expected that tbh . Thank you

You're welcome! Yeah it is pretty different but I can't say it's wrong cuz I haven't had a friend die of cancer

Oh shit.. the lyrics of the theme song for tfios basically sums up Augustus, Hazel, and TFiOS in general. -uncontrollably sobbing-

I’ll find the places where you hide I’ll be the dawn on your worst night The only thing left in your life Yeah I would kill for you, that’s right If that’s what you wanted If that’s what you wanted If that’s what you wanted If that’s what you wanted I’ll put your poison in my veins They say the best love is insane, yea I’ll light your fire till my last day I’ll let your fields burn around me, around me If that’s what you wanted If that’s what you wanted If that’s what you wanted If that’s what you wanted I’ll run now, cause this time Oh, my love is true Tell me, something I wouldn’t do. If that’s what you wanted If that’s what you wanted If that’s what you wanted If that’s what you wanted

Now go look up "What It Is" by Kodaline and "As It Seems" by Lily Kershaw *disclaimer* I am not responsible for any feels that ensue

Just started reading The Fault in Our Stars

Um, why didn’t I do this earlier? Why I have deprived myself of this greatness?

It’s 1am and I don’t want to stop. I’m scared to finish the book though because a) wtf if going to happen and b) wtf will I do with my life?

Read it two more times like I did ;P

Okay so I just watched the tfios trailer for the billionth time and cried over it for the billionth time and noticed: (idk if i'm just stupid/slow or if only a few people got it idk) Hazel isn't wearing her cannula in the opening scenes but is in every single scene throughout the trailer. After a wee bit of thought I realized her monologue at the beginning correlates with the scenes showed as what her story would look like sugarcoated. Am I the only person who just realized this or?

Avatar

I have heard people talking about this, and I’m pretty sure that is the theory. Everything is sugarcoated in the beginning like how she is saying, and as soon as she says “It’s just not the truth,” you seen her with her oxygen tank and cannula, which is when she says “This is the truth.”

My friend Cassie also pointed out to me that all pictures/stills (besides the poster) released before the trailer feature Hazel without her cannula. However, all stills released after the trailer came out show her with her cannula, again emphasizing how things can be sugarcoated, but you have to know that it’s not honest, so you have to show it as it really is. John did say there was a reason she didn’t have it on before when people asked, so I think that’s a pretty solid theory.

I'd also like to point out what she says about things being sugar coated is a direct quote (page 209) right after meeting Van Houten- did anyone else notice that?

I love books like The Last Song, A Walk To Remember and The Fault In Our Stars. However, I do have a problem with them and that’s that they seem to romanticise serious illnesses like cancer. It’s not all happiness and rainbows when it comes to love because people are sick, in reality it’s awful...

Actually TFiOS does exactly what you just said it doesn't- it doesn't romanticize death or anything. I'm sorry but have you even read it? That (amazing) book discusses that exact theme.
