Types of brain fog:

  • Brain is primordial sludge & you are drowning in it
  • U are a ghost and nothing is real
  • Mental equivalent of attempting to stream some high-res video game when all you have is dial-up
  • The thing you want to articulate is *right there* but you're just scrabbling at it like a cat continually failing to catch the bird on the other side of the window
  • The Void

having anxiety is like being given permanent unwanted custody of a halter arabian. like okay buddy is it panic time again. cool you probably need more exercise and an apple and then maybe you'll calm down.

taking my stupid walks for my stupid mental health with my stupid hypervigilant brain horse

thoroughly enjoying the notes on this post because it's equal parts people with anxiety going "yeah that's what it's like" and people with arabians going "yeah that's what they're like"

I wish you all a Happy New Year as we’re leaving Tiger for Rabbit (Japan celebrations are a bit early, Lunar year will officially begin on January 22). 2022 was once again pure chaos, I don’t have much hope for a quieter 2023, but let’s hold on together!!!

This Shinto shrine is famous for having komausagi (guardians rabbits) instead of the usual komainu (guardian dog/lion):

毎年9月末頃に一斉に咲く彼岸花。 今年はなんだかいつもより勢いがすごい感じがします。 あっちにもこっちにも真っ赤な彼岸花。 農村の風景を美しく彩ってくれます。
