RTVS Palestine Fundraiser, April 12th-14th

This weekend, Radio TV Solutions will be holding a 3 day marathon fundraiser event for the people of Palestine.

All weekend long, we will be streaming a variety of games and events in an effort to raise money for on-the-ground aid groups and direct Palestinian support campaigns.

The event will not be a traditional stream fundraiser, rather than pointing people at one donation point, we will be suggesting many different support recipients, and you may donate to any of them. You can then submit your donation amount to be tallied into our rough total.

The information document detailing suggested groups/campaigns to support will open up closer to when the event starts, as well as a schedule of events for the weekend. The event will be hosted on my twitch channel, where http://stream.rtvsfundraiser.live/ links to.

Lastly, if you know of any GoFundMe's or similar site campaigns for Palestinians that you trust as legitimate, please send an e-mail to info@rtvsfundraiser.live with links and details, and I will add as many as I can to the event document.

"rest in power" is for black people who have lost their lives to antiblack violence. we shouldnt have to keep saying this and you all shouldnt keep ignoring us.

I have seen it used for queer/trans people who were murdered or driven to suicide, and I don’t think it’s actually inappropriate. It’s not taking it away from anyone.

so do us black queer/trans ppl not exist to you? the lgbtq+ community has used "rest in pride" for thee longest time and its high time nonblacks start using it again. whitepeople dont get to live in power and die with it, hence black folks use the phrase "rest in power". no matter our background, we dont get to live with power like the rest of you.

Is this about how ppl born in the late 20th century have a unique and fluid experience of navigating barriers to information access and its our responsibility to teach the younger folks how to tinker with technology to avoid being spoonfed everything we experience in order to have critical skills that keep us informed, autonomous, and able to hold power despite looming threats of authoritarianism or..........???
