I have found the best alternative to self harm. Whenever I get the urge I just sit down with a permanent marker or some paint, whatever I can find, then I cover myself in Mortal Instruments Runes. Healing Runes, Runes for Strength and Clarity. Endurance Runes, Guidance Runes and Runes for Understanding.  It takes time and concentration, making it a wonderful distraction, It’s a great way to remember and learn the different Runes and It genuinely does make me feel better. Here are the Runes if anybody wants to try this. It works for me and I really hope it’ll work for somebody else too. Even just one more person will make this post worth it.
