one of the studies presented today included I think ~30% of POTS patients involved used to believe that they exclusively had a mental illness. it is a really widespread problem. a lot of POTS patients convince themselves (or get convinced by a doctor or relative) that they exclusively have anxiety or something and their physical pain is mental and their migraines and chest pain and brain fog and getting winded from showering and stomach problems and insomnia are just from anxiety. and then they wonder why psych medicines never make them feel much better and they beat themselves up for still feeling like shit
when in reality they have autonomic nervous system dysfunction and almost always one or more of: gastrointestinal disorders, small fiber neuropathy, mast cell activation syndrome, autoimmune activity, collagen disorders (hypermobility), and countless other chronic conditions. and many psychiatric medicines can make shit WAY worse

On top of getting covid while trying to move, our roommate left a baseball out in reach of my service dog and we had to take him to the vet er last night to induce vomiting. He is doing okay for now but me and my partner are really strapped for cash and just trying to recoup the money spent.
It cost $270 dollars
I rarely do the E begging thing but we are pretty desperate and our roommate isn't giving us the money for the er visit.

Decomposers’ waltz.
So I saw this like a week ago and just knew my teen (who collects bones and loves all these things) would love a print and guess what arrived today?
And it came with a beautiful hand written note and stickers! (I'm keeping those for myself)
The print is gorgeous and is going to make a certain teen so thrilled (my photo does not do it justice but I had to snap a quick shot before my teen notices, it's going to be a b-day gift)
