Okay so I just got off the phone with them. I talked to a trans girl named Aurora & she was super helpful! She gave me a few doctors to talk to & encouraged me to seek therapy instead of just rushing to get my pills. She literally found a trans friendly therapist in my town & I would definitely recommend giving them a call!

is sock by any chance coded as a neurodivergent person? meaning does he have anything like adhd, autism, ocd etc?
I’ve probably talked about this in the past a little bit, but I decided when I made the original film that I probably shouldn’t do any specific coding regarding mental health or neurodivergence, because I was concerned that people might read into it the wrong way, seeing as how Sock... has murdered people? This was before there was a fandom and I had no idea how people would react to the film, whether or not they’d “get it”, whether or not Sock would correctly read as sympathetic, etc. I never wanted to give anyone ammunition to make an argument conflating any of that stuff with homicidal tendencies, y’know? Haha. And FORTUNATELY I was wrong, people DO get it, they love Sock, and I’ve been told a handful of times that people headcanon him as neurodivergent, and even interpret some of his mannerisms as evidence of that (the little dino-hands thing he does, for instance). And I’m really flattered that people view it as a positive thing! Anyway, I’ve always welcomed people to view Sock in whatever way they find him most relatable! So I’m absolutely supportive of people reading him as neurodivergent, if that’s how they best connect with the character!

I kept it for years thinking I would fix it up with some wood putty and actually use it or display it somewhere, but it just sat under my bed collecting dust, so I donated it back to Goodwill (a different one!) literally just a couple months ago! Hopefully another lucky Yugioh fan will find it and unlock it’s secrets...
