Musa's pov:
Real life pov:
Musa is lying on the floor on the suite's living room white carpet waiting for Sky, Beatrix and Riven to come over for their movie night. She doesn't think Riven will come. Why would he do that? What's the point of him spending an evening with them watching whatever stupid movies Bloom chooses?
The girls had spent the afternoon decorating Flora's room with paper butterflies and movie posters. Now Musa is lying on the floor and she is coloring in colorbooks. She has always liked doing this, it has relaxed her. She colors with the crayons, trying to forget the stress that is rapidly mounting inside her. And if he didn't come, what would the girls think? The fairy hears Stella rushing towards the front door. She doesn't look up from her sheet. She hears footsteps coming closer and closer to her. Musa knows it's Riven who's there, looking at her. She doesn't even need to feel the emotions he gives off to know it's him. She knows it and that's it; like a kind of general truth that makes sense, like the sky is blue and the fire is burning, it's Riven who is there. When she looks up, she can see Riven, dressed in a simple t-shirt and black jeans. It's not the way he dresses that catches the fairy's attention, but the expression on his face. His gaze is completely relax, calm and soothe. She's getting used to that kind of look on Riven's face. Musa rolls onto her back but still doesn't get up. She looks at Riven with a big smile.
"You came..."
"You called."
It makes sense. As if telling her that of course he would always come for her if she needed him, as some sort of proof.
"I didn't think you would come." She said, playing with her purple pencil.
"I didn't want to break the tradition of spending our days together since you came back from vacation." He responds with a smirk.
"Ohhh now I understand better." She said smiling at him.
She raises her arms towards him and makes gripping hands. He slowly puts his backpack against the sofa and comes to take the fairy's hands in his. Musa pulls him slightly towards her and he comes to sit next to her.
"Wow," Riven picks up one of the crayons and comes over to color in one of the shapes from Musa's colorbook, careful not to go over line. "You are full of energy today, how come?"
"Because since you're here I won't have to cook because you're kindly going to offer to do it"
He bursts out laughing, a laugh that sounds like the melody of a bell.
"You just wanted to use me actually!"
She can't stop laughing with him. She feels good there, coloring silly drawings with Riven.
Musa pov:
Real life pov:
Riven is now in the kitchen cooking while Musa closes her notebooks to put it away. It's just then that Sky comes and sits on the couch right in front of her and asks her "How did you do it?"
She raises her head curiously, not understanding the blonde's question.
"What?"
"How did Riven get so soft all of a sudden?"
"I did nothing, it's just....Riven" She shrugs her shoulders.
Sky doesn't look very convinced.
"Can I ask you why him? Why Riven and not someone else?"
Musa takes time to respond. At first, she wants to try to find the most believable lie possible, but deep down she thinks it's unfair. Riven deserves a real compliment. She takes even longer to think. The fairy looks around her, the colorful walls of the suite, the velvety sofa, the decoration that matches perfectly. Which fits perfectly...a perfect chaos. Musa returns to his attentions on Sky.
"I like the way his brain works."
Sky seems satisfied with the answer because he smiles as he leans against the couch.
It's 1 a.m. The group of friends spent the evening together eating and watching the cartoons that Bloom chose. It's 1 a.m and Riven is in Musa's room because it would be suspicious if they didn't sleep together during this sort of sleepover. Even Terra went to sleep in Flora's room so as not to disturb them. They must keep the secret of their fake couple hidden well.
Musa is rummaging through her closet for a t-shirt big enough to lend to Riven who had stained his with tomato sauce. The fairy pulls out one of her large Nirvana t-shirts and hands it to Riven. He put it on. He feels comfortable in the fairy clothes. He'll steal her t-shirts often that's sure.
Musa has been sleeping for a few hours when she hears sobbing. She opens her eyes with difficulty and sees Riven next to her, almost choking. Worry rises in the fairy and she gently shakes the specialist's shoulder to wake him up.
"Riven...Riven hey wake up."
No response, just the crying of the boy next to her increasing. She just shakes his shoulder a little harder this time and it's after a few minutes that Riven wakes up in a panic. His breathing is jerky and his cheeks are bathed in tears. Musa gently strokes his cheek.
"It's over...it was just a nightmare, you're safe."
Without even thinking Riven takes refuge in the crook of Musa's neck. She gently comes to stroke his hair, letting him cry.
"What did you dream about?" she asks in the sweetest voice she can have.
"My...my parents...tried to take me away from here..." Riven's sentence was cut off with sobs and slight choking.
"It won't happen I promise you."
"You won't let them take me?"
"Absolutely not, you're mine now!"
"I'm yours!"
Riven lets out a small laugh. He still remains in the crook of Musa's neck and after a few minutes of caresses and words of reassurance for the specialist, the mind fairy falls asleep.
"I've always been yours" can be heard Riven whispering.

Don't forget to comment or reblog, I love reading your opinions <3
(i have done all the edit and written all this myself so please don't steal my work)
you made him soft in your fiction ( like this happening after season 2 cuz how all the relationships going) and it always felt like it's the rest of the show. like the fiction is the shows third season. the way you soften him felt right and when you made him softer in the last crying in his sleep scene this even felt more right. you made the idea of the troubling bad boy image of him more relatable. you give him more things to have as a character and living being. i really love how his brain works in your fiction. So, same Musa same... I feel ya gurl.
