Much like the recent teaser, only with new and exciting content, the trailer for season seven of The Venture Brothers was released a few days ago. The season promises all the usual action, excitement, laughs, and whatever other emotions you want to be able to achieve from a television show.
As noted, season seven starts on the night of August 5th, with the episodes airing at midnight.

I’ll never remember which disk it’s on or anything, but I still love the bit in the commentary where they talk about where Hank and Dean’ names came from...
It has to do with using really unrelated names/words to describe something that doesn’t really have its own word... to have “hanked it up” mean you totally bungled something like a dingus. As for Dean, Jackson (I think?) had once heard someone refer to some functional yet dweeby latches on a briefcase as “Dean Handles”
I haven’t forgotten this after a million years bc it’s perfect and weirdly relatable
I’ll try to get a better scan of this when I feel up to going to the library, but I wanted to share some doodles inspired by conversations with @quirkett
we were talking about which of these two would be OK with wearing a dress, and we agreed Billy would be the one to rock the dress, so I picked one out for him
then she sent me this uhhh lingerie for Pete to wear since we had also been talking about Pete n Billy dressing up special for The Sextimes
$7 nub commission of Dr. Killinger from Venture Bros for my darling @frostedulcers I couldn’t resist such a demand honestly.
Bonus floating gif, spreading ze love, because I wouldn’t have it any other way, or any other excuse to do it tbh.

I was thinking the other day about why Pete’s so ok with doing stuff that obviously humiliates and infuriates his friends (posting the video of Billy high on godgas online, reporting that Mike Sorayama masturbates to Leslie Cohen on his radio show, giving Dean his pubic hairs back etc.) ASIDE from him being a little shit
he doesn’t seem to do these things out of malice or contempt, and seems to even expect the other party to think that him doing these things is funny too
but thinking about it further… In pretty much all the scenes that I can remember where Pete is revealed to be doing something dorky/embarrasing he like… Doesn’t seem to mind? He was really nonchalant about a picture of him being a drunk tool at some Spring Break accidentally making its way into Billy’s slideshow, he essentially BRAGGED about how he & Rusty jack off to Brock having sex with women together, and he regularly does dorky-ass things to try and get Billy/Rusty/whoever to laugh (doing up his hair in silly ways, dancing the Robot while wearing a robot exoskeleton)
what I’m saying is that Pete probably thinks that people paying attention to him and laughing at him/thinking that he’s funny as a positive thing? or at the very least he has a hard time conceptualizing that even if he doesn’t mind getting caught doing something embarrassing, other people very often DO mind
Hunter complimented Sheila’s makeup so of course Sheila decided to help a girl out cause ya gotta look cute when trying to capture a vigilante.
Brock and Shoreleave are proud children who love to see Hunter happy
Also Shoreleave took lots of pictures because Hunter rarely smiles and because he though Hunter looked so pretty (which embarassed Hunter but inside she was so happy)
