hot take: Dream is not a team player and he proves it by confessing to Reddit that he can only do well with Sapnap or George rather than making an effort to lead and make good connections with his other teammates, hence all the teams he’s been on without them have done badly in comparison.
hotter take: both Technoblade and HBomb94 whom MCYTtwt hates are better team players than Dream because they actually know how to talk to their teammates and elevate their performances, rather than just jumping head first into risky plays and expecting someone to cover for them. They’re also less competitive which leads to less toxicity within their own viewer base.
hottest take: Dream and Sapnap are very toxic players due to them being extremely competitive in any events, and you’ve seen how they can influence an extremely large part of MCYTtwt to become even more toxic towards other CC’s who don’t deserve it. They’ve made this for-fun event where any creators from across the board can come in and play and have a good time become increasingly competitive and anxiety-inducing. They should be the ones sitting out of MCC.
HBomb94 was the heart and soul of MCC whom the long-term MCC fanbase/Reddit know is extremely kind, supportive, and cheerful towards everyone. His performance level was put on a separate tier from everyone else because he’s known as the man who could bring almost any team to victory. Scott even banned him from pairing with S tier players because that team would be too OP. Him going Danny Phantom once in his entire career in MCC due to elements he couldn’t control shouldn’t have been labeled as cheating as it was unintentional, and he even spoke against repeating it afterwards.
Seeing such a kindhearted person and one of the biggest forces of positivity and allyship in MCC leave due to anxiety and backlash like that makes me sick. I sincerely want Sapnap and Dream to publicly apologize to H. For over a month after MCC14 he was still getting people calling him a cheater on his streams.
