my gif experience has been vastly improveed

ah fuck it that would be actually pretty funny i have to admit

i spent $32 on this fucking bowl at the moma and at first i felt bad buying it bc it was so expensive but ive had a terrible day today and every time i look at my lil bowl im like :o) you know what. i can get through anything with this bowl by my side

i literally get what marie kondo was talking about now

bc everyone keeps requesting to see it filled :)

I don’t know how long I’ve been here. Time seems to pass differently. But the place is cozy and private so I have no complaints. And whenever I’m hungry, I go outside with my bowl and walk down the hill to the shore. Sometimes the lake is made of soup. Sometimes it’s huge pasta noodles the size of barges. Sometimes it’s breakfast cereal. Sometimes it’s dumplings the size of great whales. I dip my little bowl and take a portion and carry it back up to the house.

Today I found a new bowl! In its center is a little hill with a little house. I will carry it down to the shore and fill it up, and whomever lives in that little house can have a tiny portion of my meal. I hope they have a nice bowl to put it in..

As I get older, I realize why adults say outdated slang and call new technology by the wrong name: It's hilarious.

Calling a 12 year olds PS5 "a Nintendo" and hearing them try to correct me is good fun. Not to mention saying something is "hip" or "radical." The groans you get from younger folks, even people not much younger than you, is great.

You should also start saying that things are totally wizard. That's a favorite of mine.

Important addition y’all

Just saw her original sketchpad on graph paper at MoMA again recently. Queen shit. Here’s the placard plus photos of the actual sketchpad taken by people who weren’t trying to shoot with an android phone through a vitrine. (Image ID in alt text.)

“You can’t just go wishing death on people you disagree with”

The people I disagree with:

“But they aren’t around anymore”

“They’re people too! These are somebody’s sons”

So are the minorities that they slaughter and wish to genocide but for some reason me saying we should kill them for that desire is equally horrible so again I say

violence is the only answer when it comes to Nazis and Facists. They will not hesitate to kill you, and we should not hesitate to return the sentiment.

Violence isn't usually the answer, but when it comes to fascists and nazis who call for the literal genocide of people who want nothing more than to live peacefully and without fear.

Violence is the answer because they will listen to nothing else they understand nothing else. Anything else allows them to keep growing like the cancer on the human race they are.

The only good fascist is a dead one.

Violence is not an answer but it can be damage control and when innocent lives are on the line, damage control is often necessary. Make a fascist terrified today.

A QUEEN

Okay, I don’t normally add on to posts but in this case I’ve got to.

Rachel Ann Bovier is a Pittsburgh legend who has been publishing her poems in city newspapers for decades. In more recent years, she started putting up these bill boards along major roads. For what reason? I have no clue. But I would often pass them on my way to Oakland for therapy. They never failed to cheer me up.

As a young trans writer, they gave me this precious little spark of joy. There was someone like me, a writer, a Pittsburgher, a trans person, who was confident enough to put their face on a bill board! I would always smile as we passed by and my mom took note.

Fast forward a few years and it’s my 21st birthday. My mom has been super excited about my gift and teased me about it over and over again. She said it was the best gift she’d ever gotten me and in many ways she was right. It was a custom poem she commissioned from Miss Bouvier! It congratulated me on my birthday, my academic success, lots of little stuff. It was simple and sweet and perfect.

I’m still not out to my parents about being trans, but that poem serves as a reminder to me that trans people are every where, they are artists, they are all ages, and their visibility is essential. So thank you to Rachel Ann Bouvier for being a great poetess and a Pittsburgh treasure!
