This is a little orange blossom toy that has been omnipresent in my room for years now and I've decided I will be obliterating her into something new
This is my character who has not unlike the orange blossom toy been omnipresent in my mind for five years now. I have been wanting to make some kind of doll of it for years now, but I have a habit of starting things that never get finished and it always felt to daunting to even bother starting. I hope the small size of the doll will help with that. Im sewing the weird arm things and putting a wire in them to hold a shape, then painting them. They dont need to be articulate so I dont need to worry much about chipping. I've already started modifying her head and shaving the boots off. I will probably end up painting most of the clothes as I dont have the rigjt color fabric right now.
This was the hardest part of the whole project i hope. I had to pull all her hair out from outside as none of my tweezers fit throug the hole. I dont even know why I did this. I planned to make a faux fur wig from the start. Help.
I've started the arm things by now but I dont have any photos. I will update whenever I have more things finished. Or started. Who knows 👾
Photos I took for school. My creative multimedia class has us taking a photo every week to share with the class, this week was rule of thirds. I plan to integrate a different doll into every one that I take just for funsies. Doll is art class draculaura, she comes with the little self portrait, I added the necklace and glasses.

As much as I wish they were still green, I do love this doll alot. This is my favorite rendition of frankies prosthetic leg, just metallic looking with no doodles on it. The three gears near the bottom are always my favorite detail. The hair is nice and soft, and the clothes are fun and interesting.
It also seems to have the issue all g3 frankies do in that the head looks like it's was too far down the neck peg. I love the hat, but I have seen other people point out the combo of that style hat with lightning bolts is. Suspicious. And I have to agree. I know it obviously wasn't what they were going for but I feel like they could have done less lighting around the head, like have a skullet on the hat or something and avoid any risk of them looking like. You know.
I am thinking of repainting the thing on the hat anyways as I find it a little ugly tbh, and I'll probably change the earrings as well. On the topic of changing their clothes I plan to nail polish remove the lightning print on the see through knee high boots. Also her hands nearly broke apart when I tried to remove them which is concerning, and they were really difficult to remove from the box due to those stupid plastic tabs in the head. Flimsy hands notwithstanding the good doll is good, solid 7/10
As a certified g1 nostalgia shill (got my first doll at age 8, 9 years ago) I'm starting to warm up to these new designs a little. I am still peeved about the skin color changes tho. The new variety in bodies is nice, the clothes are fun, plus a new generation of kids get to grow up with monster high dolls which is always a good thing. Im still never getting over the ungreenification though they literally did not need to do that. No good reason whatsoever.
I also got Draculaura and a random lol omg doll that really spoke to me, but I will wait till I get home to open them up. The mystery bag of doll accessories I ordered arrived recently so I will post that soon as well.

Should the finished monster high doll bracket include those weird g2 family members? (Pictures below if you arent familiar) also even tho the poll says babies the g2 dracula doll falls into this category as well

I have already decided not to include any collector dolls, and anyone with g1 and g3 dolls will have both included seperatly. Skullectors not included as they aren't technically monster high characters and also a couple would probably obliterate the competition .
If it wasnt already clear high Im doing a bracket of every single monster high character (with a doll) ever to determine the most beloved cherished favorite sexy doll (only using "default" outfits).
There is no nomination as im doing all of them (minus skullectors and maby minus the weird family members). I am however including the fright mares as some of them are cool enough to maybe survive round one.
If you have any other ideas or questions about the bracket feel free to ask I am open to anything I dont bite stick your hand through the bars of my enclosure pretty please I promise I wont bite I swear

Physically Disabled Swag Tournament Real
RULES:
1) This tournament is specifically for physically disabled characters, as you can tell from the url
2) Doing this one as canon characters only! (Nothing agaisnt headcanons this is just how I'm choosing to run this one :] if anyone wants to do one that includes headcanoned characters i'll throw you a reblog on here! Same goes for one with characters that aren't just physically disabled)
3) No real people! Fictional characters only.

I got quite the haul at my local thrift store today, my camera isnt the greatest so just pretend they look better than they do in the pictures.
The naked barbie and whitewashed jasmine were just packaged with the dolls I wanted, not too sure what I I'll do with them. Honestly might just donate them back lol.
I got this little one for her dress, she doesn't have a name indicated on the box but it says shes a 'limited edition of fine porcelain dolls' and is fully articulated.
I have no clue what this is, I just thought it was neat. I really loved her dress. I think I will keep her in the box.
Im not familiar with bratz so I'm not sure who this is, tbh I just got her to steal her clothes for a mh doll. I might customize her eventually in the distant future.
Someone must have donated a huge collection of these dolls cause theres so many, and they have been in the store for a few weeks now. I have two others I got a couple weeks ago that have the same stand as this one and all the others. They all have porcelain heads, forearms, and legs then fabric bodies. I think these are called boudoir dolls but I might be mistaken. Anyways i'm obsessed with her hat, the dress is so pretty and very well made. Also the purse is cute.
And now the main event: fully clothed wave 2 Clawdeen Wolf. I just about screamed in the store when I found her. Even when all I could see was the shoes I instantly knew I was looking at a monster high doll. Her hair is very tangled BUT!!!! Not sticky!!!!!! I wish it was still styled but a win is a win. And she has both her hands, with no bitemarks to be seen!! The store must have gotten a donation of someones mh collection cause just last week my friend found a lagoona with pants and (in a seperate bag) one of rochelle's dresses. When I went there was also draculauras car and this weird little closet thing pictured below clawdeen.
This is the box, I didn't end up getting it but I figured it was neat. I did get draculauras car to the despair of my mother, and its in pretty good shape. Overall more than successful shopping trip. Only thing im sad but not surprised about is no novi stars :( My most recent obsession, I've never seen one irl before and I dont know any of their names but they look so cute, I will probably order one online eventually as the chances of finding one in a thrift store in the tiny island I live on is basically zero. But either way i'm happy with what I found ^-^
