Enji has been acting strange lately.
Well, it wasn’t a bad strange just.. different.
He was a lot more subdued and wasn’t as strict as usual.
Enji had been in his office working on paperwork so you were alone on the couch scrolling through TikTok.
“Hey, (Y/n).”
Enji’s voice suddenly appearing behind you caused you to jump and drop your phone onto your lap.
“Enji, you scared the shit out of me.”
You placed a hand over your racing heart.
“I’m sorry for scaring you.”
“It’s fine.”
You turned to face him after catching your breath.
He stood there, face tinted pink looking anywhere but at you.
“Are you okay, was there something you needed? You never leave your office before you’re finished with work.”
Enji looked apprehensive and also a bit.. shy?
“Yes, there was something.”
You silently looked at him with an expectant look on your face for a solid minute.
“And that ‘something’ is?”
He began to shift from one foot to the other awkwardly, still not looking at you.
He began mumbling something under his breath.
Your eyebrows furrow in confusion.
“What was that? I couldn’t hear you.”
Enji growled, his face going from a dusting of pink to flushed red.
“H-hug.”
He mumbled a bit louder.
But it was just loud enough for you to hear.
A smile broke out on your face.
“Aww, Enji c’mere.”
He blushed even more, his entire face turning red as he shuffled around the couch and stood in front of you.
You stood up and opened your arms, immediately Enji wrapped his arms tightly around your waist shoving his face into the crook of your neck.
You laughed and held him.
“You know, if you want stuff like this all you have to do is ask.”
Enji just grumbled and pressed his face further into your shoulder redness spreading up to his ears and down his neck.
He pulled away and looked at you.
The two of you stood there in a staring contest.
He broke eye contact first his pout deepening as he puckered his lips a silent request.
You snorted and gently cupped his face in your hands and leaned in giving him a soft kiss.
Right as you pulled away he pressed his face back into your shoulder.
You smiled and pulled him closer.
“You’re such a big needy baby.”
He just grumbled into your shoulder once again and squeezed you tighter.
