It’s a biological fact that fish do indeed change their sex to keep the male/female ratio balanced in their school population. So this fluidity actually makes more sense from a scientific standpoint than the silly idea that merfolk are born with a strictly assigned sex like humans.

Merfolk are all canonically genderfluid and we love them for that

I think the worst part of befriending internet people is that you can’t be there for them physically.

Not the sex parts (that sucks too), but when they’re going through something you can’t just show up at their house.

I want to bring their favorite food and offer to fold their laundry or do their dishes. I want to bury them in blankets and watch their favorite movie. I want to just sit there quietly so they’re not alone.

He knows that Arthur can be vindictive he knows that Arthur doesn’t suffer monsters so he doesn’t want Arthur to remember that he regressed far more than what we saw at the farmhouse. But Arthur trusts John. Arthur knew he was lying, he knew he was hiding something because let’s be honest for being a fragment of a god of deceit Johns main techniques for lying mostly chalk up to changing the subject and yelling at the other person when they question him and Arthur is a goddamn detective Arthur knew he was lying just not about what and he would’ve been annoyed, sure, Arthur isn’t really known for being calm and collected, but they would’ve been fine.

But John doesn’t trust Arthur. He loves Arthur. But that’s not the same thing.

John is so scared that Arthur will hate him that he can't even stop and think long enough to realize Arthur loves him. He is terrified of Arthur rejecting him or not needing him and that has fueled all of his bad decisions since part 23.
