moms (and dads or whoever raised you) deserve love and respect!! if you arent a fan of expressing your feelings through words, express it through actions and make them feel that you love them and care for them!!!!
Hope you're doing great today, Lady D! My question's on tarot. I consider myself no longer a beginner and heading to intermediate. Any quick tips you have for someone like me please? Lotsa love!
10 QUICK TAROT TIPS
1. Court cards can tell someone’s age.
Pages are children and early teens. Knights are late teens and early 20s. Kings and Queens are mid-20s and older.
2. Numbers can reveal someone’s feelings.
In a love reading, if the cards are all 3 to 7, the other person is not so sure about you. 8 to 10 means they are deeply invested.
3. Colors can show a situation’s outcome.
Whites and blues for clear skies ahead. Yellows and oranges for joy on the horizon. Reds and blacks, depending on the cards, for tragedy or passion.
4. The suits can predict timing.
Wands mean days. Swords represent weeks. Cups stand for months. Pentacles are for seasons or years.
5. The Major trumps the Minor.
If there are two negative Minor cards and one positive Major in a spread, the future is closer to what the Major promises.
6. Cards are influenced by their neighbors.
A normally negative card can have a positive meaning when surrounded by heavily positive ones. The reverse is also true.
7. The Fool is a Get Out of Jail Free card.
It has the ability to not only trump but cancel the energy of any Minor Arcana card that precedes it. It is a chance to restart.
8. Wands may be a warning.
In a career or a relationship reading, Wands can represent passion that is fleeting. You will need to take action to make the situation long-lasting.
9. Pentacles are a reassurance.
This suit represents stability, reliability and longevity. Receiving multiple Pentacles means all will be well. Perhaps even better than you expected.
10. Tarot is more than just cardboard.
It speaks with the voice of occult forces, whether or not you invite them. So always treat your deck respectfully, lest it hurts you back suddenly.
I love myself some jealous pining kacchan! Izuku being oblivious to how everyone loves him and kacchan just simmering Hahaha.... Got any fics for that?
Hello! We’ve made three Jealous Bakugou mini-lists so far (here are the links: i, ii, & iii). And here’s a possessive Bakugou mini-list that you might also like. So here is a Dekubowl fic (BakuDeku is endgame, of course) with some Jealous Bakugou moments!
Longing for Clarity by sushisama ( E | 97,839+ | 15/23 )
Slice of life AU. Check notes in first chapter for more specific details.Katsuki is in his senior year, and though he’s dealing his own questionable mental condition, he can’t help the excitement of the upcoming graduation. But his boyfriend, Izuku, has been acting strange, being almost a little too intimate. They come to find out that Izuku is going through the fermin, a predicament certain Quirk holders go through. Now Katsuki is being forced into considering relinquishing the secrecy of their relationship, if only to keep all he wandering eyes from Izuku.
SeriesPart 1 of Fermin Story
I read one fic but I can’t find it, where Deku cheats in Baku with Todoroki and all their friends find out and side with Baku. They eventually work it out and get back together. I think it was a one shot, but it could possibly be longer.
Hero Complex by ScientificallySinful (VampireGaaraCheesepuffs)( E |8,956 | 1/1 )
“You guys have been together since high school, you wouldn’t just break up unless something huge happened.”
“Oh my god! Bakugo, did you cheat on Izuku?”
“No, no way. Bakugo would never do that…right?”
Now everyone turned to look at Katsuki, who didn’t meet their eyes in turn. The question quivered in the air; the guillotine about to fall.
“He didn’t.”
The speed at which everyone turned to face Izuku was almost enough to give him whiplash, but his eyes stayed glued on Katsuki.
“He didn’t, I did.”
Sometimes when you try to be the hero, you end up as the villain.
Is there any pro hero izuku/civilian Bakugou? Bakugou can be quirkless but it's isn't a necessary trait, thank you so much for this blog!!
There! I searched high and low for ones where Bakugou isn’t tagged quirkless (aka I scrounged through the “Pro Hero Midoriya Izuku” tag and listed off the ones that didn’t have “Pro Hero Bakugou Katsuki” accompanied with it). I also avoided Villian!Bakugou AUs since that wasn’t necessarily what you asked, but I did put a Vigilante!Bakugou fic since it seemed innocent enough. Hope you enjoy the few I found! (And sorry I couldn’t find any more ;-;)
~Eve ❣
Can you recommend any fics with hurt Bakugou and protective Deku?

Cold Banishing Potion
This is my go to “Cold Banishing” potion - used in soups or marinades or dressings
*Garlic - 1 large clove garlic or 1 tablespoon minced garlic or 1 tsp garlic powder - to cleanse and banish the sickness * Ginger - 1 tsp ground ginger, 1 thumb sized piece of fresh ginger grated - to speed up and power the magical working, for healing as well * Vinegar - any on hand, I use Citrus Rice Wine Vinegar a lot - cleansing * Sesame oil - to taste - for the “prosperity” of the spell, a little insurance so the spell works * Salt or Soy Sauce - to taste - cleansing/protection from reinfection * Hot spice of some sort - chili oil, chili powder, cayenne pepper, etc to cleanse and protect with the property of fire, to “burn out the sickness” I use this combo regularly in my Cold Banishing Soup. I recently used it in a marinade for meat as well! Use this as a sauce, flavoring or marinade for the rest of your meal. I like to add this to soup with lots of veggies, so that I get lots of vitamins as well to help fight off the sickness. Also, adding this to chicken broth includes the “healing chicken soup” vibe as well, that we use so much for colds and flus! Don’t forget your noodles and meat. A well balanced meal helps heal tremendously and gets you the nutrients you need to heal, as well! Happy Cooking!
Grandma’s Pumpkin Bread 🍂
Mabon is fast approaching so I thought now was a perfect time to bring out my Grandma’s famous pumpkin bread recipe! For me sabbats are all about connecting with family and sharing good food, so family recipes are a perfect fit. Better yet, the ingredients in this pumpkin bread have magical correspondences of protection, healing, and prosperity fitting for the transition from reaping season to the final harvest. I, for one, am using this as an opportunity to reset my intentions with the newly waxing moon as we launch full force into autumn.
Grandma’s Pumpkin Bread
Bake at 350 // 50 to 55 minutes // Makes 3 loaves
Beat 3 eggs
Add:
½ cup vegetable oil
2 cups canned pumpkin
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups sugar
Mix well…
Add:
3 cups all purpose flour (mix slowly!)
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp nutmeg
Optional:
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans OR sprinkle raw, unsalted pumpkin seeds on top a bit before it is done!
Pour evenly into 3 loaf pans that have been sprayed and floured. Bake as directed and test with a toothpick inserted near middle. Cool on racks and wrap in foil.
Magical Correspondences
Pumpkin – banishment, divination, healing, prosperity, and protection
Vanilla – happiness, love, and lust
Cinnamon – success, healing, protection, power, love, luck, strength, prosperity
Cloves – protection, love, prosperity, banishing, friendship
Ginger – sensuality, sexuality, personal confidence, prosperity, success, health, protection, new experiences and adventures
Nutmeg – prosperity, luck, protection, intellect, removing curses
And there we have it! Let me know if you make this and how it works out for you!
Happy Mabon!

Witchy Tips: Meditation
Meditation IS:
✔️ A way to improve your focus and concentration
✔️ An excellent way to ground yourself
✔️ A good way to raise energy
✔️ An effective calming exercise
✔️ A method of strengthening your empathetic abilities
Meditation is NOT:
🚫 Thinking of nothing
🚫 Clearing your mind completely
Things you need to meditate:
✔️ Yourself
That’s it. You don’t need candles or crystals or a mantra or a yoga mat or a special outfit or anything.
You don’t even need to be able to do the thing where you cross your legs with your feet up on your thighs. You can meditate lying down, sitting up, kneeling, regular cross legged, or even standing. Just so you’re not in a position where you’ll lose circulation, you’ll be fine.
Kinds of meditation
Yup, there’s kinds. Lots of kinds. Way too many to list in this post. Do your research, find a kind that works for your needs. Practice a bunch of different ones! The kind I recommend for a beginner is called Mindfulness Meditation.
Mindful meditation is about staying in the present moment, rather than ruminating on the past or worrying about the future. Like any kind of meditation, it improves your focus and concentration. It’s also been shown to increase your empathic connection with the world around you. Once you achieve a mindful state, you can move into any other kind of meditation you want.
The guide below is for mindful meditation.
How to Meditate
- Go to a quiet place and find a comfortable position that you can keep up for a few minutes without getting sore or losing your balance.
- Close your eyes and begin breathing steadily through your nose.
- Focus on your breath as it moves through your nose. Try to follow it from moment to moment, rather than lingering on a past sensation or anticipating a future one. The breath is dynamic; it moves with you through time. Try to synchronize your focus with your breath so that they both exist in the present moment.
- When you have a feeling, an emotion, or a thought, acknowledge it, accept it, and then go back to focusing on your breath.
- If you find you have become distracted, bring back your focus by counting to 10: each odd number is an inhale, while evens are exhales.
Do not be discouraged if you become distracted often; meditation is not something that comes naturally: it has to be practiced. The present moment is hard to hang on to, because it requires not hanging on to anything. The present moment is always slipping by, and it will take practice to teach your mind to acknowledge and dismiss each moment rather than trying to linger. Try aiming for one minute of focused meditation, and increase the time little by little as your concentration improves.
Eventually, you’ll be able to meditate in noisy places, with your eyes open, using focus tools like candles or crystals, you can start employing visualization or mantras if you want; the sky is the limit. But before you can do any of that, you have to be able to concentrate. Simple quiet, eyes-closed meditation that focuses on the breath is a good way to get you there.
Happy meditating!
BETTER SHIT TO PUT IN YOUR GRIMOIRES THAN THE BASIC SHIT EVERYONE SAYS:
- Maps! Maps! MAPS! If you're a death witch, get one for the cemeteries you visit and mark gravestones/areas you've practiced in! Garden witches! Map out your gardens! Green witches! Map where you find specific herbs in your area! Lunar witches! Mark the best spots to go look at the sky! Make a key! Take notes!
- Recipes for COMPONENTS! Write down how to make the mixtures you use in spells often- A special salt mixed with herbs and put under the moon, a mixture of oils for protection, the herb mixes sachets you keep making to add to sachets, whatever!
- For green witches- press samples of stuff and glue them in! Go to an arboretum and ask for permission to take leaves to press, they'll usually let you take some- add them in with your notes about trees
- Cool ways to make spells! I make spells in envelopes and on empty spools, what are some ways you do?
- The local plants in your area and what they do. You're not going to be likely to find chrysanthemums to forage in Missouri, but you will find creeping charlie and prairie plants. What can you do with a thistle?
- When you celebrate a sabbat, write down what you did and include samples! Ribbons from your Beltane altar, a pressed sample of your lemmas harvest, a scrap of your Yule decorations. Maybe do a spell and tape the remnants into your grimoire in a plastic baggie
- Learn how to make an envelope out of paper just by folding it, how to string seeds, how to dry plants, how to macrame rocks and hang them from your window. Find those little witchy skills and write them down.
- How to incorporate your hobby into your magic. Sigiling origami paper, weaving knot magick into your crochet, making blessed bookmarks, etc
- Substitutes! Rosemary, rose and clear quartz are good for most things, but there are more substitutes to be used that are more powerful. Roanoke bells are good substitutes for bluebells, apparently.
- Correspondences of odd things. Turns out different kinds of cats have different correspondences, huh.
- Superstitions and such from where you're from.
- For kitchen witches: easy to alter recipes. An egg noodle recipe that takes herbs really well, a simple bread recipe that can be dressed up for spells or rituals, how to make a good pie crust that you can sprinkle nutmeg in or whatever you desire.
- Or: What foods go good with what herbs. You'll make a better apple pie (and get the benefits of apples, nutmeg, and cinnamon together!) If you know how your herbs taste together with your cooking. (Most kitchen witches know this stuff, but for a green witch who likes to make teas or a sea witch that likes to make soup, etc, this is important)

Green Witch Tip: Preparing Your Garden
Keeping a garden and/or some indoor plants is a great witchy practice, especially green and kitchen witches! However, to save yourself a lot of frustration and to make sure your green babies get the care they need, it’s important to research a few things before you plant:
Sun and shade requirements
- Full sun means the area gets at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day
- Partial shade means the area gets 3-6 hours of direct sunlight, probably in the morning when it’s cooler.
- Dappled shade means that the plant lives almost exclusively on indirect light: it gets a couple hours of cool light in the morning, and lives in filtered light like the kind through a forest canopy the rest of the time.
Figure out what the light conditions are where you want to plant, and make sure you plant things that can deal with that amount of light. Some plants find too much sun stressful and will dry out too fast, others will start to rot if they don’t have that direct sunlight to help them eat up their water.
Drought tolerance
If you live in an especially arid area, you will want almost exclusively drought-tolerant plants. If your area is more humid, then you’re going to water your drought-tolerant plants even less than one normally would. Research the aridity/humidity of your area, and adjust your plant’s watering accordingly.
Soil & Drainage
Not every plant actually wants a rich, dark, mulchy soil. Many cacti and succulents prefer soil that is mixed with sand and small stones to help it drain faster (too much water sticking around the roots can cause root rot), and plants that enjoy full sun and are drought tolerant tend to prefer well-drained containers that don’t hold on to water forever. Research your plant’s preferences and adjust their soil and drainage accordingly. More holes and stones or sand make things drain faster, less of both make them drain slower.
Depth & Distance
Some plants really need their elbow room, others need to be close together for support. Some do best when they can grow a big ol’ taproot that digs deep deep down into the groundwater, others are happy sticking near the surface. If you’re growing your plants in containers, research the root structures of your desired plants, and choose ones that can expand to a healthy rate in your containers and make sure new seedlings have enough distance from each other that their root systems don’t choke each other out. Your seed packet should have instructions on how far apart to plant.
Companion Planting
Many plants can benefit from being near each other: the pests common to one plant may be deterred by the smell or property of its close neighbour, one can attract pollinators for both, and so on. Research optimal companions for your desired plants.

I know this is probably so obvious but I just started using this so maybe I’m not the only one that didn’t think of it right away. I used to salt cleanse in a bowl, cup, or literally tupperware (I mean let’s be real magic isn’t always fancy). Then I was at the craft store getting jars to put my lavender and rose petals in (you know, as one does) and I bought an extra because you can never have enough jars. Anyway, when I got home I thought of this and I am here to pass the knowledge along.
DISCLAIMER: There are crystals that may be sensitive to certain treatments, such as salt exposure and tumbling. It is YOUR responsibility to do you YOUR OWN research on what is best for your tools.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- A moderately sized jar with a lid (This size jar works for all but one of my crystals, the bigger the crystal the bigger the jar)
- About ¼ cup of sea salt
- Your crystals (1 to 3 at a time depending on size)
WHAT TO DO:
- Fill jar about half way with sea salt
- Place your crystal (or two depending on size) in the salt
- Close jar
- Give it a light shake if you feel the need to submerge the crystal further
- Let sit as long as you feel necessary (I usually let my crystals sit overnight)
- Remove crystals
- Charge however you like
This is also a really cute discrete decoration it sort of resembles a jar of sand with a sea shell in it. Great to place on an altar or even a night stand like I do! I know this was probably really simple and obvious but I want to be as helpful as I can! Let me know if you try this out and how you like it! ☽✧☾
Bonus:
You can shake the jar more vigorously in order to charge your crystals if you believe in this physical form of charging! Personally I really enjoy doing this especially since a lot of my crystals are sensitive to sunlight. I hope you enjoyed this bonus tip! Reply with a ⚡️ if you read this far!!
