Yo!! Sorry to bother, but I've encountered a slight issue w/ theme 7 (ur MGS theme; its so cool omg). The codec numbers have defaulted to a different font than the DS-Digital font its supposed to be; i tried to adjust some things to attempt to fix it (with my non-existent html coding knowledge lmao), and checked if it was just a browser problem, but it seems to be truly broken. I wanted to DM you and ask if this could be fixed/how I might be able to fix it! TY sm!!!

It's no problem! Fonts can be difficult on Tumblr since they don't allow you to upload them so I have to use a janky workaround with this theme.

I fixed it and included some other things while I was at it like an option to not have the posts in a small container. You can update it here!

#tumblr isn't letting me update the usual preview page so its still gross there but that direct link works fine#I should use this theme on my personal blog#linktera#theme7ask#raiidens ask

I've been spending more time on Tumblr since the whole Twitter rate limit happened and just realized we have poll posts now lol.

If you want options to customize the colours of your poll posts embedded in your theme, let me know which theme number you're using! Preferably by ask or DM so I get notified.

Hi, I actually removed infinite scroll from a lot of my themes including that one. It was crazy buggy and didn't work most of the time. Unless something changed recently, Tumblr just doesn't have a good set up for infinite scrolling on blogs. Sorry about that!

The way I think of it when building it is what shapes go within each shapes. So for the DS, I have the whole DS in a whole, which has the top screen, the middle bar, and the lower screen in it. The top screen has the rows of dots on each side and the actual screen part itself. Etc.

This thing is super old now so I don’t even know if I coded it this way, but I recommend using CSS Flexbox. It helps you position all your elements and space them out properly. Also learn about CSS positions also, it’s how I got the buttons in the places they are.

Feel free to learn from the code also! You can also go to the preview page, right click something you’re not sure how to do, click “Inspect element” and it shows you the HTML and CSS used. It’s especially nice because you can edit the CSS right there and it shows the difference right away.

I hope this helps! If you’re a super beginner btw, I recommend Codecademy to learn HTML & CSS. The free version is fine!

Hi!

For the first thing, I'm guessing you want the content link to do what the home link does? I suppose you can just rename them. Look for these two lines:

<a href="/"><div class="link" id="home-link">home</div></a>

<div class="link link-selected" id="content-link" data-id="content">content</div>

The first line is the home link and the second line is the content link. You can rename them by changing the word before the </div> (and right after the >) on both lines. You can also just remove the whole second line if you don't like how that content link works.

And for the second thing, that'd be a pretty difficult thing to code unfortunately, no easy fix for that. You can use these to add a link to the navigation:

and then put /tagged/ARTTAGHERE in the URL, but there's not an easy way to have it come up like the content link does it unfortunately.

Hi, there is a recent thing Tumblr implemented where you have to ask permission to use Javascript in your pages. Pretty lame stuff. I haven't played around with this too much yet so I don't know all the details but I'm assuming unless there was some improper copying and pasting, this is probably the issue. Glenthemes has a post about it here.

Otherwise, send me the URL and I can take a look at the code.

Made a quick fix in Theme 19.

Added colour options for the mobile nav links and fixed the positioning on the mobile nav.

This is some old garbo code that I should probably fix, but in the meantime, you can fix this by going into the code, press ctrl + f, and find this line:

#cornerpicture {

In that block, you’ll find:

height:100%;

width:100%;

Change the % to px and change the numbers to whatever the image dimensions are in pixels. That will make it the same size of the image instead of scaling it.

Hi guys, another quick update.

I know I’ve been absolutely terrible at replying to messages, if you sent me something and I haven’t answered it, feel free to send it again. I don’t spend time on Tumblr anymore unless its to do something for this blog basically so it might’ve just gotten lost.

I removed all the click-through ad links to get to the code. Since I’ve been bad with replies, some people who can’t get to the code don’t really get to the themes, so that’s just been removed now.

I’m going to keep commissions open, but because I don’t have much time at all, I might have to be super picky about what I choose, or charge a lot more than I usually do. Sorry about this!

If you’re interested in finding me elsewhere, I’m trying to become a full-time streamer on Twitch, and my Twitter is basically a meme mine at this point. Or if you’d rather keep spending your time on Tumblr, I have blogs for my art and stream clips that I try to keep updated from time to time.

As far as I know, you can’t set up a theme on mobile. Unless you can get to the desktop site somehow, but I tried it real quick and it wouldn’t let me.
