Judy Garland performs with bare feet while wearing a Balmain gown at the Empire Theatre in Glascow, Scotland in 1951. During her first concert tour of the UK, Judy complained of having sore feet one night and kicked off her heels. The audience laughed and applauded, responding favorably to her down to earth charm. She kept it in the act afterwards, continuing to take off her shoes nightly during her record-breaking 19 week engagement at the Palace Theatre in New York later that year.
