Let the records show this is the only time I will promote a post, so it has to be worth it it.
Hook loves when I scratch his tummy. Probably because I used to do that when he was an itty-bitty-kitty, when he was small enough to fit in my hands.
Bentley Jones, the songwriter of Silver the Hedgehog’s theme “Dreams of an Absolution”, revealed in “The making of DREAMS OF AN ASBOLUTION music video” that the song’s lyrics were based off of his breakup with an ex-boyfriend.
Start out my day by saying: "Hello~!" cheerfully to my Mom, and my dog proceeds to utter an "Ah-whoa~" in the same cadence and I just
"... Did... Did Tori just talk?"
our discord unanimously agreed that ratatouille is a mecha and I cried laughing after making this joke
I would like to argue that Django is a far better father than Gendo
POV: You're me while washing up some of the blackberries I picked today in slow motion while an Owl City song blares for less than a minute and a half, which I will then sort through, pick off the stray stems, and toss out the damaged and bad berries
I found more berries that are pickable~
This year has so many growing everywhere that I don't have to be in competition with the wildlife for it, since there's plenty to share and still on the way.
Mom made more muffins with the ones I already had. 😁
there is no rat more polite than little truffle

Imagine being buried alive and then seeing this little guy with a backpack suddenly arrive
It gets better. The little backpack has a two-way radio.
So you’re trapped under rubble, and then a rat shows up. Flicks a switch on its little tumtum. And starts talking to you.
until you said that it never occurred to me that the woman in STEM was the scientist and not the rat. i was just like “hell yeah, this rat is a powerful woman pioneering lifesaving technologies as a rescue ranger”
why are we sleeping on this
Bolt was on and Zilla was very interested in the movie. Also, looks like he's trying to see what they're looking at
“We don’t value craftsmanship anymore! All we value is ruthless efficiency, and I say we deny our own humanity that way!”
Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson, 1995
Once again, Calvin is far too right
Got that adult coloring book too, so here's a comparison between the layout of a page for the adult coloring book and the regular coloring book. The regular has thinner pages and more abstract backgrounds, while the adult coloring book is more cardstock and has backgrounds that are more busy.
Both are very good, both can be suitable for your coloring needs, and both are fun. The adult book is more of a sit down and take your time experience, while the regular book is just for fun. :D
I decided to color in the Planet Wisp page because I have a lot of blue and green colored pencils. I also goofed on Sonic front shoe and colored the strap red, so I covered it up with white gel pen an attempt to fix it, but it looks silly. 😭
There's also a Big the Cat and Froggy picture in the Adult Coloring Book that looks like new stock art that's really cute. Looks like it was Emerald Coast at sunset, so I colored it as such. 🤩
Forgot to show off these pages of the Adult Coloring Book I've done since this post~
Also, a look at how I drafted the background color choices for this one using a quick scribble on a picture with my phone. A few changes were made, but the general idea was to find the best contrast to make them pop more.
Just did Chaos 0 yesterday and realized I really don't know how to color water and tried to fix it with white gel pen. 🥲
Chaos is supposed to be looking like this and I think he looks a little too aqua in my colors because I didn't have his shades...
My bestie also sent me a pretty cool Official Sonic the Hedgehog Coloring Book that has like 64 pages of art ranging from the standard stock art and some really cool line work of really rare renders that I've seen on recent t-shirts and rubber keyrings that are part of the newer style guide. Here's three pages I've colored so far. Sonic singing into the microphone is a neat render I haven't seen, but I recognize the Amy and Tails that accompany him.
Also, here's a few pages I'm looking forward to getting to eventually
That single Rouge page has a nice render I haven't seen elsewhere yet, and even Infinite gets a page! Also, the background graphics to help fill in the pages easier is a nice touch, I really like that this book has some thought put into it's presentation and only reuses poses a few times in the cases of the group shots.
Highly recommend this book. The pages are the typical thin pages you find with the average coloring book for kids, but the art is crisp and colored pencils should work just fine like I did. A lot of fresh and modern stockart as well as a few old favorites from the old Sonic Channel style that still stands well.
My fingers are a little sore, so I'm stopping for now and I've ordered some pencil grips since I used to use them as a kid. But I'm really loving these illustrations.
Another one~
Really can't get over how good some of these layouts are. They'd be great as screens for some shirts or something like a poster.
Two new ones from this book~
Sometimes I don't have the right colors for specifics, so I have to cheat a bit with some layering, like with thier muzzles and matching colors to that, but I like how these liked. The abstract background ones are cool because I don't have to adhere to an established color pallet and I can be more free with my color choices and use my lesser used pencils. 😁
I feel like I’m exposing myself a little bit with this bc my introduction to fic is soo random I think, but whatever your answer please tell me the story! I wanna know haha
Once upon a time, back in 2002, when I was 12, the first Harry Potter DVD had an interactive feature with your computer called DVD ROM, and you could pop that into a compatible computer to access really special features exclusive to that. More so if your computer had microphone capabilities, because the Harry Potter DVDs back then boasted a "magical experience", where you could say something like "Take me to Hogwarts!" and it would open a web browser with a really cool skin and take you right to the WB Harry Potter forums. I can't really find footage of someone using that feature, but trust me, it was really freaking cool in 2002.
So, anyway, our chunky big old Gateway computer came with a built in microphone in the brainbox, and was DVD ROM capable, which was pretty much the easiest way to get a DVD player back in the day because we were still using VHS tapes ((and yes, I did have the first movie on VHS as well)). Which meant that I could use the DVD's special voice activated features as if controlling the movie with 🪄✨MAGIC✨, and I would use that to access the internet because the built in browser for the DVD's hotlink had a pretty cool skin to it that looked like fancy metal trim edging on parchment paper. It was a bit limiting, because it didn't have a url bar, but a few clicks here and there and you can get to Google and use your bookmarks, so I'd play Neopets that way sometimes.
Anyway, the main feature of this function was that it took you to the WB Harry Potter forums, where people would post fan content, speculate about the next movie's content, share thier favorite parts of the books that were out so far at the time, and just generally be a typical fan forum.
So I would go there often.
One day, I stumbled on what was my first introduction to fanfiction. I was absolutely confused by this, because I didn't remember this being in the books and I also hadn't seen content like this before. I decided to stay off the forums for like a month after that.
And that's the story of how my first time reading fanfiction was a Draco/Hermione Steamy Lemon Fic on a publicly accessible website hotlinked on my DVD when I was 12 and I absolutely hated it.
