WHAT A SHOCKING BAD HAT

@radicarian / radicarian.tumblr.com

To everyone who recently followed me because of my long-deleted viral post from October 2019: this blog isn't about that. This blog is about the Figaro brothers from Final Fantasy VI.

I think that Jade Curtiss would go to a bar in a place where he is known by sight, and, as a fun little mindgame to play on the bartender, order nothing but Corpse Revivers all night. He is otherwise being a model customer. The unease in this bar is palpable

Back in the office for what I hope is the last time ever, facing even more horrible time-wasting and insulting meetings. For today's diversion I think I will dig some vintage 2017-2019 drawings out of my desk (done in previous bad meetings) and redo them

"time management," they tell me, as part of a meeting that has gone 50% over the allotted time already, "also includes STRESS management," and while I wait to be released from hell I draw the most elementally furious Locke Finalfantasy I can manage

Tagged by @queenlua for “ten songs you’re vibing to right now!”

In all candor, currently I am undergoing various Ordeals such that I have no capacity for novelty and I am mostly vibing to Jimmy Eat World like it’s 2005. So I don’t have tons of recent things, ahahaha.

BUT IF I BEND THE RULES A LITTLE... Since Lua also mentioned needing DRIVING-AROUND MUSIC, I am dividing this list into two segments. Driving-Around Music, and General Purpose Things.

Tagging anyone who reads this and would like to link to a sweet jam or ten. Yes, you.

I hate how everything's called devices and apps now. Those are frail words with no weight and show no respect like machine and program do.

Writing tricks I have learned from video games specifically:

  • Conveying scene blocking through dialogue, without use of descriptive prose
  • Niche applications for second-person narration. Especially, especially, "POV character is disclaiming responsibility for their own actions"
