Over the past several years over a dozen women, some girls under the age of 18, have been receiving letters filled with porn and sperm after participating in FIDE chess tournaments.

In 2022, the male commenter at the FIDE women’s tournament said that chess is “maybe not for women”.

Right now, male competitive chess players outnumber female competitive chess players 16:1.

And studies have shown that this harassment has an affect on how women play; when women think they are playing men, they don’t play as aggressively as when they think they are playing women. I wonder why.

Do you think that after years of girls/women receiving porn and sperm in letters, and having your own commentators belittle you, these female players might deserve a female-only tournament until the harassment dies down?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Showing very feminine women in typical "male domains" does not teach girls that women can achieve anything they want. It teaches them that women have to be feminine to achieve anything at all. That way, femininity and beauty become preconditions for success in fields that have absolutely nothing to do with how you look or how your dress.

I used to watch undercover boss and there was an episode about hooters, the manager was abusing his power over the waitresses and humiliating them, making them act and eat like dogs so they could get time off. I mentioned this to an ex saying how fucked up that was, and he had 0 empathy for these women saying it's their fault and they 'choose' to work there. I pointed out that it doesn't matter if they work there, they should NOT be treated like that no matter what. He got defensive and didn't care, repeating that "well they choose to work there" before storming out.

This is where choice feminism has gotten us, women can be straight up abused and now men can just shrug and say "well she chose to do this, not my problem" without feeling a shred of guilt for exploited women. I swear to god this sentiment is just the "well she was asking for it" excuse repackaged

saw someone refer to not knowing how to keep track of your money as "girl math" ......why are we in this weird era of treating women like idiots but repackaging it to sound cute and quirky. We All Need To Stop

“mary shelley would hate terfs” mary shelley lived in the 1800s, wrote an entire book about how we shouldn’t play god with bodies that was a metaphor for how men envy women’s ability to create life & their inability to replicate or control that, and her parents were radical feminists.

anyway I love things like having independence, being intelligent, taking pride in my skills, not feigning incompetence, referring to myself as a woman instead of a girl, aging unapologetically, having pores, stretch marks, grey hairs, wrinkles and body fat, listening to my body's needs, eating as much as I need to satisfy my hunger, being bare-faced, wearing comfortable clothes, etcetera

In discussions and media about feminism, we really need to stop portraying it as, "You can't be fat, you can't be ugly, you can't be weird! Women always exist within double standards!" and more as, "We are sold into sex slavery worldwide, either as prostitutes or wives. Our biggest predator is men, especially the ones closest to us, as they are more likely to molest, rape, beat, and murder us than anyone else. We do not have complete freedom and power over how we use our reproductive organs - in fact, the female body is so understudied and stigmatized that we often live our lives in pain and die from related issues such as ovarian cancer and childbirth. Men own and control the majority of the world's resources, land, and money, but women do more than half of worldwide labor alongside the care of their own homes and family members, remaining destitute. Even if women do not participate in wars as soldiers, we are still trafficked, raped, and killed by men on all sides during it. Our political power is extremely limited, and is still taken as a threat, even though we are the majority. The hate of women is practiced in these ways every single day."

“The conception of freedom at the heart of choice feminism is the classic freedom of modern liberalism: individual license to do as one pleases free from political interference. However, there is a countervailing tradition of feminist political thought that expresses a very different understanding of freedom—one which is inseparable from political engagement. On this account, women have been oppressed not so much because they have been denied the freedom to determine their own life paths, as because they have been denied participation in public life. Feminists in this tradition have decried the historical absence of women in positions of power not as the symptom of a lack of choices, but as the systematic exclusion of women from involvement in shaping the world in which they live. The remedy for this form of oppression is not mere opportunity to get involved, but the active exercise of political freedom—what Linda Zerilli describes as “the capacity to found new forms of political association.” Women are free only to the extent that they are engaged in the political practice of creating, reimagining, and transforming the shared world in which they live.”

People got rightfully mad at 13 reasons why and riverdale half a decade ago, yet somehow euphoria is different even though it's a million times worse. Just...why?

It's more like;

Women to men: you are loved, you are valued, you deserve hugs and to be able to cry :)

Men to women: you are sexy, you are fuckable, you deserve a porn category and to be able to sell you body :)

sex work is work. therefore we should advocate for:

  1. sex work to be taught to children in school as a potential career path. it’s like any other job! so why not teach it in school? or at least mention it.
  2. men to enter the sex industry. it’s a female dominated industry & its so empowering! so why not? we have women in stem, so now let’s have men in sex work!
  3. minors to shadow over sex workers when they are working. minors are allowed to shadow & have experience in other fields where children are not allowed to work in, so why not sex work?
  4. sex workers to wear PPE. no other job allows for you to be covered in your customers sperm, cum, spit, piss, blood or shit, so sex work shouldn’t either! it should be a law! sex workers should wear gloves, aprons, masks & goggles on the job! <3
  5. taster sessions for sex work. they should be at job tasters & should demonstrate what the sex worker does & allow people to have a go!
  6. courses, degrees, bachelors etc in sex work. it’s like any other job, so there should be courses and such to help people (mostly women) enter the field. they can be taught: how to give a blowjob, how to appear sexy to men (the main customers), what men like in bed, how to appear as a sex object, all types of kinks & activities that the male customers will like (ageplay, rape play, bdsm, strangulation, role play - commonly the worker will role play as the customer’s daughter or a young girl - slapping & hitting etc), how to appear younger etc
  7. rape to be considered theft in sex work. since the worker’s body is the product, if they are raped, it’s just stealing & should be documented as such.

so empowering. this is what the future should be.

how come it’s all “what about infertile women” if you say being a woman means having a female reproductive system, but “birthing body” is fine???? i never intend to give birth, so what kind of “body” am i? why is my non-birthing body still the target of abortion laws? i’m not a body anyways. i’m a fucking person.  i’m fucking tired of this nonsense. i truly have no patience for it. say female or shut the fuck up!!!!

This one is actually so funny to me because the point is she's not a human woman. She's an object, an inhuman feminine archetype.

In the beginning, she represents femininity devoid of womanhood. But she loses aspects of her artificial femininity as she gains womanhood. She literally explicitly gets a vagina at the end when she turns human so Terf W I guess lmao

You remember how a journalist unilaterally decided to give me a new name—Mrs. Husband's Surname—on learning that I was married, and how I asked him to stop because that was not my name. I will never forget the smoldering hostility from some Nigerian women in response to this. It is interesting that there was more hostility, in general, from women than from men, many of whom insisted on calling me what was not my name, as though to silence my voice.
I wondered about that, and thought that perhaps for many of them, my choice represented a challenge to their idea of what is the norm.
Even some friends made statements like "You are successful and so it is okay to keep your name." Which made me wonder: Why does a woman have to be successful at work in order to justify keeping her name?
The truth is that I have not kept my name because I am successful. Had I not had the good fortune to be published and widely read, I would still have kept my name. I have kept my name because it is my name. I have kept my name because I like my name.
There are people who say "Well, your name is also about patriarchy because it is your father's name." Indeed. But the point is simply this: Whether it came from my father or from the moon, it is the name that I have had since I was born, the name with which I traveled my life's milestones, the name I have answered to since that first day I went to kindergarten on a hazy morning and my teacher said, "Answer 'present' if you hear your name. there‘s a reason why it‘s „suck my dick“ and not „lick my pussy“ to demean someone.

there‘s a reason why we say „get fucked“ and „that‘s fucked“. fucked means: penetrated.

there‘s a reason why so much language surrounding penetrative sex is so violent: smashed, nailed, „rearranging someone‘s guts“, banging, screwing.

there‘s a reason why so many people have an aversion to gay sex, or even straight men engaging in passive anal acts.

there‘s a reason why lesbian porn catered to men usually involves dildos and strap-ons.

there‘s a reason why it‘s „big dick energy“ and „small dick energy“ and not big and small pussy energy.

there‘s a reason why a woman‘s vagina is considered „worn out“ when she had a lot of sexual partners while it doesnt impact a man‘s dick.

there‘s a reason why men say „i fucked your mom/sister“ as an insult: i stained your property, i dishonored your family.

there‘s a reason why women with a lot of sexual partners, or even women who arent virgins, are considered „dirty“ and dishonored, and why gay and bisexual men are seen as less manly.

there‘s a reason why women who are and were prostitutes or in porn are seen as less worthy while men who buy sex or do (straight) porn are seen as manly, which is considered good.

there‘s a reason why „whore“ and „slut“ are female specific terms.

penetration is seen as degrading.

and sex is often only considered as penetration. and the penis is considered to be superior, and a tool of degradation.

and to be penetrated is seen as a female trait, which in turn justifies women‘s degradation and misogyny. this is where a lot of homophobia stems from as well.

this is why the penis is not a neutral body part.
