The only difference is that he tries not to do anything more for this goal and even if this goal is not up to Chainsaw Man

Once again, Asa falls(heh) like a sack of bricks for anyone able to understand her, and validate her feelings/world view.
Loving the character consistency.
Also, I know people saw this asaden moment coming from a mile away, but the holding each other in midair thing directly appeals to me. It reminds me so much of Patema Inverted, one of my all time favourites.
Chainsaw Man Chapter 127: Save The Asa
This if Fujimoto in his element, mixing parts and characters and approaches to create something that only he could. Lifting characters up with fancy words and emotional sentiments, only to have it come crashing down in the most hilarious and apt ways possible. Hardly a big chapter, but within the context of what's around it, certainly one that will be remembered.

the "oh. oh." moment in fan fic but instead of a character realizing they're in love it's them discovering they have a specific kink at the worst possible moment

As someone who owns cats that will run away if you get up while they are eating from another cat's bowl, but not while they are eating from their own bowl: I am more inclined to agree with the posts that say "cats understand the concept of sin".
sometimes when they see you coming they do the naughty thing faster (eg: when trying to steal an object they cant quite reach, or trying to eat all of something). they realize you're going to stop them, but their thought process doesn't reach the conclusion of "I shouldn't be doing this".
instead they're like "I guess there's a time limit to my task now. but god as my witness I'm gonna complete it."
